5.00If you’re looking for a wonderful way to explore Waiheke Island, I can’t recommend cycling enough! The scenery is gorgeous, and even in the middle of winter, a sunny day makes for a truly enjoyable ride. The team at eRide were so friendly and helpful, and the bike was both comfortable and easy to use. Navigating with the map was straightforward—I didn’t even need my phone. I tried most of the 5 bays ride, enjoyed a delicious lunch in Onetangi, and ended my day with a glass of wine at Mudbrick, which offers some of the best vineyard views on the island. All in all, it was a fantastic day out!

3.00Reserving the bikes was an easy process, but it doesn't save you much time when you pick them up. Two other walk-up parties arrived at the same time, causing quite a bit of work for the two guys handling the orientation and intake processes. I was impressed with the communication process through Trip Advisor and Viator, letting us know what to expect and allowing us to follow up with a possible lost item from a prior booked tour. All in all, the experience was acceptable. There are several hills to climb that require a good amount of stamina and physical fitness. Consequently, we had to cut our trip short and did not make it to the area on the eastern end of the route. The phone holder worked great. Some areas on the island have spotty mobile connections, so we were glad to have the paper map as a backup.
