Essential Flamenco
We want to recover the intimacy, which was the essence of authentic flamenco. The audience literally stuck to the stage, surrounded by three rows of chairs. No tables, no meals, no distractions. Pure flamenco. The flamenco jondo (jondo comes from deep, deep) combines, in a crucible never seen before, five musical cultures: the local Andalusian folklore, the music that brought the gypsies (that emigrated from India arrived to the south of Spain in the year 1400 ), Arabic music (the Arabs were from the year 700), and also musical features of the Jews and Castilians. It is a music that touches the universal soul.

4.00The show was great - the dancers and musicians were incredibly talented! Be prepared to be squeezed in the space, though--the chairs are smashed together like sardines in a tin. It was incredibly uncomfortable sitting in the room. If they took one chair out of each row, they would make it much more comfortable for everyone attending the show. Regular-sized people and larger people alike were uncomfortable during the show.

5.00⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ If you are in Madrid, this show is an absolute must. Everything was very well organized from the moment we arrived. The show started exactly on time and the whole experience felt intimate, authentic, and beautifully run. The performers were simply breathtaking. The musicians were incredibly talented, and the guitar playing set the perfect atmosphere. But the flamenco dancers completely stole the show. Their passion, precision, and energy were mesmerizing. There were moments I realized I was barely breathing because I was so captivated watching them. You can truly feel the emotion, the rhythm, and the soul of flamenco in this performance. It is powerful, elegant, and unforgettable. I highly recommend Essential Flamenco: Pure Flamenco Show in the Heart of Madrid to anyone visiting the city. It was one of the highlights of our trip. 💃✨

5.00Very intimate underground theater with a nice introduction to the history of Flamenco followed by a performance that starts off with one guitar, and then slowly builds until there are a number of musicians and dancers on stage putting on a passionate performance. A great sangria as well!
