Essential Flamenco
We want to recover the intimacy, which was the essence of authentic flamenco. The audience literally stuck to the stage, surrounded by three rows of chairs. No tables, no meals, no distractions. Pure flamenco. The flamenco jondo (jondo comes from deep, deep) combines, in a crucible never seen before, five musical cultures: the local Andalusian folklore, the music that brought the gypsies (that emigrated from India arrived to the south of Spain in the year 1400 ), Arabic music (the Arabs were from the year 700), and also musical features of the Jews and Castilians. It is a music that touches the universal soul.

4.00The dancers had impressive footwork and expressive faces. Sweet sangria drinks. Cozy surroundings made for an intimate experience Would be more comfortable if there were more space with fewer chairs. Seats so close together it felt confining.

5.00Small and intimate venue, glass of something nice included in price. Performers are very talented and genuinely love flamenco and you get the feeling they are passionate about sharing it. Fabulous, authentic experience

5.00The show was absolutely incredible! The two dancers were amazing, and the musicians were so talented. Despite the beautiful sights, my family agreed that this was the best experience of the trip! We can not recommend this enough!

5.00What a wonderful history lesson (in English and Spanish) regarding the migration of the people who developed the Flamenco tradition - I think most people in the audience did not know how many different cultures it draws from. The performers were marvelous - clearly dedicated to their craft and enjoy sharing it with others. Flamenco in Madrid is not to be missed, but THIS was a transformative experience from accomplished artists.

1.00In a small cave with too many chairs crowded into an uncomfortable space; felt like a sardine in a can. Everyone was forced to hold their drinks in their hands the whole show, no tables, no air, no windows, just awful environment. They said they wanted to make it true to the original, and yes the performers were talented, but when you're that uncomfortable you just can't wait for it to be over.
