  I've booked multiple trips via Viator, and unfortunately, this experience was just average. The dune bashing was undoubtedly the highlight - exhilarating and well-executed. However, the bbq dinner provisions were insufficient and lacked flavor, which was disappointing. Additionally, being pressured into buying photos was a negative aspect of the tour. Overall, there's room for improvement to match the standards set by my previous Viator experiences.

  Not for people over 60 shows not quality very poor Driver was over 2 hours late for pick up very disapointed in the entire evening.

• Fab day in the desert!

  Fun day in the desert was had.Became a bit confusing when it came to the optional dune buggying at additional cost. Other than that the day unfolded as expected. Food was very very good and plentiful-would recommend the VIP upgrade for the show and food.

  The only reason this is not getting one-star is the fact that the basic experience was so inexpensive. But there is a reason for that : during the 6 hours we were gone, the actual experience itself only lasted an hour or so. We spent most of the time either being transported from one location to another or waiting for a véhicule to transport us from one place to another. The entire experience is a total tourist trap with various people trying to upsell. Communication was limited and half the time we had no idea where we were going or what to expect. I would not recommend and would not do this again.

  It was a really wonderful experience - good blend of culture, adrenaline and natural beauty. As with any tourist experience, there were goods and bads, with plus far outweighed the negative. We got to do bits of many different activities and didn't get into one activity in touch detail - that's the nature of this experience with focus on breadth over depth. Good: Dune Bashing and ATV: When we reached the site after having been picked up from our hotel, we were taken for dune Bashing in a 4×4 vehicle. It was truly an adventurous experience for and we were a bit apprehensive in the beginning, but our driver (Noman) was a talented and expert driver who maneuvered safely l, yet adventurous, through the topsy curvy terrain. Sitting at the back seat, we were told wells more adventurous as these cars had specialized springs installed at the rear end which made the experience more bouncy! But beyond a certain point, we didn't feel any danger to us and our kid. Driver dropped us off at one of the dunes where the sand was gorgeous golden red colour and very soft. We had the opportunity to do sand boarding, running up and down the dunes and taking really cool pictures against the picturesque and serene sunset in the dessert. ATV was provided at an extra cost (250 AED) for 30 minutes. I drove the ATV with my kid riding with me at the back. Drove it at a safe but enjoyable speed. Nice thrilling experience overall. Food and cultural show: after dune Bashing, we went to the khaima camp for dinner and evening cultural show. BBQ was simply delicious and one of the best I've eaten (and I've eaten a liy of bbq). Food options were quite good and diverse (3 types of rice, salads, chuttneys etc.). We also enjoyed the strong chai (tea) after the BBQ. During dinner (we had VIP seats at the top, but even the floor seating was really good and wish we had that!l, there were a number of performances including a fire show, cultural dances etc. My kid loved that in particular. Camel Ride: short 1 minute ride at the end of the dinner was icing on the cake. We also took pictures with dessert hawks which my kid loved! Bad: Drive from parking to khaima camp: After we were done with dune Bashing and ATV, we were asked to sit in another SUV along with our group, except this time instead of 8 seater, it was a 7 seater, so we were asked to "adjust" and have our kid sit on our lap. We thought it would be ok given it would be a short drive. But as soon as the driver started driving, we were proven extremely wrong!! The driver without any care or concern for safety, decided to give us an unannounced dune Bashing experience. And started driving extremely recklessly. The issue this time was that our kid was sitting in our lap and his head was hitting the metallic bars at the top hurting him quite a bit. My wife and I kept screaming and kept requesting the driver to slow down and drive properly, to no avail. It got so bad and scary that my wife and kid were in tears by the end of the ride! Other members of our group also got concerned by this time and started requesting the driver to slow down. When the car finally stopped, I had a stern conversation with the driver, who gave me thousand reasons why it was necessary for him to drive that way. Eventually he did apologize but by that time, this part of the experience had left a bitter taste in our mouths.
