On this tour we go by our bikes and try to see some puffins, we have a special places on the island that we can see puffins, while we are driving there you can enjoy the beautiful view we have in Westman island. Then we end the tour by going into the Sea Life Trust museum, is a museum with Icelandic fish and birds.

We visited in late October which meant the puffins had already left for the season. The owner reached out to offer a refund, but we just asked to switch to a different tour since we had heard such great things. I’m so glad we didn’t ask for a refund because it was THE BEST! They had just gotten new scooter bikes that were very easy to operate and we felt very safe. We scootered all around the island with many stops for pictures, history, and personal stories. It was a fantastic tour and I highly recommend the company to anyone looking for something fun to do that will also give you a lot of background on the island.

This was a highlight on our recent visit to Iceland. We were part of a small group excursion from our Viking cruise and had a fantastic time. Both of us in our 60’s, and thankfully we had been riding our bikes for a couple of months to prepare for this! You get some instruction on the scooters & then some practice in the parking lot before you head out. Gorgeous drive out to the puffin colony! Stunning scenery! There were thousands of puffins!! I could not stop taking pictures!! Our guide was very enthusiastic about maintaining the colony & preserving the population. Would absolutely recommend this to anyone lucky enough to get to visit!!

What a great experience! We felt safe the entire time after a thorough lesson on how to operate our scooters, followed by a fantastic tour and puffin viewing. We could not have asked for a better time!

What a good guide we had. The electric scooters, you have to learn to deal with them but once you have mastered it you go like the fire brigade. We went to explore the island of Heimaey with the puffins as the end. What beautiful pictures I was able to take. Unfortunately, I can't post any photos with the review.

Absolutely unbelievable! The best thing to do in Heimaey by far! Do not hesitate!! Incredibile guide, incredibile scenery, puffin are so cute! Ride is easy and fun!!

Scooter practice was suddenly on the public road. I had no experience with electric kickboards, so I felt like pulling the lever of the scooter was a little stronger, so I was dragged a little and fell. Luckily, I wasn't hurt, but I punctured the knee of my rainwear pants. After that, I practiced driving several times in the square, but I think the order of practice is reversed. I think you should push your scooter to the square first and then practice in the square. I was able to see the puffins, but even though the observation time was short, the guide's explanation was kind of long. (The explanation was great.) I came to Heimaei Island to see puffins, so I wanted to have time to observe them quietly and take some more pictures. Also, the description of the activity on this web only said that it was a tour to see puffins, not to go see the volcano. Wouldn't it be better to add to the 1972 eruption because it's something that should be passed down for posterity?

An amazing tour and the tour director was very, very accommodating given a schedule issue! The tour as fun and the guide was outstanding! Loved every second of the tour!

We had a fantastic trip with Eyjascooter while in Heimaey. The scooters were easy to ride - even for a couple of 60 year olds - and comfortable. This tour allows more time at the puffin colony than most other tours/combo tours and our guide was very knowledgeable about both Heimaey and the puffins. We would definitely recommend them.
