  Our tour guide had limited knowledge about KC. She had to google questions that were asked about prominent buildings and other pertinent things. We saw a lot graffiti walls…that were painted in the last few years. We saw the river. When we went into restaurants they were not expecting us and nothing was set up. Our guide ordered off the menu and shared the food with us at the first restaurant. This was her favorite place to eat and even texted her husband that she would bring some home. There wasn’t much walking between the restaurants so we weren't very hungry between samples. We expected to visit two different locations. After the first one, City Market, she seemed to be finished. I asked about the second location, Crossroads, so she took us on the street car where she pointed out several old theaters. We concluded our tour there. We asked where we could go get a drink. She pointed at a sign near us. She left and the place she pointed out was shuttered. We are so disappointed in this tour, our guide and the amount we spent! $765 for a tour with small amounts of food and limited history of KC. I asked for some type of refund but was not given a response.

  This tour was an absolute scam, you hired a tour guide that was a Black Civil Rights Historian Guide and NOT a food Tour expert. In fact, he had not only never GIVEN a food tour but had never even been on one. Called me to ask where he should take us...absolutely ridiculous. He took us to 3 places he had never eaten and told us to order off the menu and we had $40 to spend at each place we had ($120 for 2 people for 3 stops) This is not how food tours work... first you never order off the menu. The EXPERT food guide has stop pre arranged with each vendor. After our first place we were not hungry anymore. I have been on over 50 food tours all over the world and this was NOT a food tour. I only booked this because the description and Cost (outrageously expensive $730) made it appear to be an amazing experience for a special occasion. The pictures posted did not even come close to what we got. This was a SCAM in every since of the word and I have requested a refund immediately. Our tour guide was a very nice and smart man and a great Historian but not a food guide. He told me he had never done a food tour and asked me what we should do and go. It was so awkward. He told me he had no idea was VIATOR was and was hired by a 3rd party. So either he is a total con man or he was also scammed.
