Brunelleschi’s Dome requires climbing 463 steps, with no lift available.
The dome climb is strongly NOT recommended for people with cardiovascular, respiratory diseases, vertigo, claustrophobia, and pregnant women.
Individuals wearing sleeveless shirts and shorts above knees are not allowed inside the cathedral
Backpacks of any size or dimension, and any bag designed to be worn on the back, are not allowed.
This tour includes portions that are outside and could be in the full sun. Please bring a hat, small umbrella, or sunscreen if you are sensitive to the sun.
Arrive at the meeting point 15 minutes before the start of the tour. This is due to the timed entry of the tickets.
It is not possible to join the tour after it has commenced.

5.00We had a wonderful experience and our guide Deborah/Deb did a great job sharing the history of Florence. We loved getting to see the statue of David and learning the information behind how Michelangelo did this piece of art. Deb brought to life the stories behind some of the different works of art and their artists. Even though it was very crowded, Deb easily moved us through the crowds and shared the details of each work of art we saw. We appreciated her expertise and enjoyed her enthusiasm. After our tour of the Accademia Gallery we went over to where the Cathedral of Saint Maria del Fiore was and the Duomo. We learned so much about the time it took to build and the art and architecture behind it. She even made the work of climbing the steps up to the top of the Duomo enjoyable as she shared information half way, allowing us to catch are breath. It was amazing to see the city from that height. We would definitely book again through this website.
Horrible, don’t waste your money

1.00Horrible experience. The trains were delayed from Rome to Florence. We sent a message in the app if we could just get our tickets and meet up with the tour guide. We were told no problem, however we never got our tickets once we got to Florence. The support was horrible, we spent over $750 dollars on the tour, we couldn’t get any help from Viator and asked just to meet the tour group for our tickets, or provide the address for the travel service so we can get the tickets we paid for, they said no. Viator said we should have purchased travel insurance. We used Viator for most our travel tours, we will never use them again.

5.00such a great tour. Nora did such a great job explaining everything sharing the history, keeping the tour, lively and moving. I highly highly recommend this to her for anyone who is interested in art or just wants to see the statue of David and learn a little bit about how it came to be.
