Brunelleschi’s Dome requires climbing 463 steps, with no lift available.

The dome climb is strongly NOT recommended for people with cardiovascular, respiratory diseases, vertigo, claustrophobia, and pregnant women.

Individuals wearing sleeveless shirts and shorts above knees are not allowed inside the cathedral

Backpacks of any size or dimension, and any bag designed to be worn on the back, are not allowed.

This tour includes portions that are outside and could be in the full sun. Please bring a hat, small umbrella, or sunscreen if you are sensitive to the sun.

Arrive at the meeting point 15 minutes before the start of the tour. This is due to the timed entry of the tickets.

It is not possible to join the tour after it has commenced.

This is a well-paced, very interesting tour with the chance to view the entire city of Florence at the top of the cathedral.

The statue of David was on my bucket list and having a guide was such a help to beat the queues and explain the works of art. Climbing the dome is tricky but there were little breathers along the way. Elena was a lovely, friendly and knowledgeable guide
Tour guide abandoned us.....bad experience.

Great first half with Leonardeo. Expert tour of Accademia. At the end, her gave us a 5 minute bathroom break. We came out of the bathroom after 3-4 minutes and could not find him or our tour group anywhere. Very dissapointing as there were only 5 people in our entire tour group. We tried to call him and no answer. Called Viator and got what's app. took twenty minutes to connect with Viator who also could not connect with him. We spent over $300 for this tour! So dissapointing our tour group leader made no effort whatsoever to find us as we were right there. We walked to the duomo quickly anticipating they might be there but probably they were already inside. He did not give us our entrance ticket in advance so we were out of luck to get in. Viator said they might give us 1/2 refund. We will see. Morale of story....ALWAYS get your tour guides telephone number at beginning of the tour.

Julia was our tour guide and she did an excellent job of describing the history and things we saw. She was very personable and easy to understand. We learned so much and I would highly recommend this tour with Julia.

Deborah was great. She gave us very interesting info at both the Galleria dell’Accademia di Firenze and the Cattedrale di Santa Maria del Fiore. She even offered to take pictures of us at each place. At the end of the tour, she gave us a list of recommended places to get good food and gelato.
