This was a great experience. We boarded the ferry at 9:15 for the half hour ride to Ft.Sumter. National Park Rangers were on board to give us valuable information about the history of the fort and to answer questions. As the first group of the day, we helped raise the large flag over the fort. The ferry stayed there for the hour that we did our self guided tour with restrooms on the ferry available for use. I would definitely recommend this tour

It was great learning more about Fort Sumter and how it was such a big part of the Civil War. My only regret is that one hour at the Fort was not enough time see everything and give the museum its due time.

The rangers were very knowledgeable and told the story in a thoughtful and conversational manner. They answered questions and protected the fort from fifth graders who had lots of energy!

Nice ferry ride to/from Fort Sumter which provides nice sights of Charlestown, USS Yorktown and dolphins. Fort Sumter, while blown to smitherines a long time ago has a fascinating history and it is just great to stand on the most bombed real estate in the United States. A fascinating tour.

This was a very informative , well designed tour of a key Civil War site. I learned so much about the beginning of the war and how it came about. The tour was the perfect amount of time to see the entire site and the Rangers did a great job of explaining everything there and the history of the fort. I would definitely recommend! (Be sure and take a jacket even if it’s a warm day)

Good tour. The park rangers from the National Park Service did a great job of explaining the politics of the mid 1800s to provide context to the importance of Ft Sumpter.
