Here are few items you may need to make your time on the excursion the best of all: closed comfortable shoes (sneakers), sportswear, In case of rain raincoat or an umbrella. After summer time we recommend to bring also a warm sweater or jacket.

Plitvice are known as a natural phenomenon because they keep changing through sedimentation of calcium carbonate and create special kinds of algae and moss, tufa or travertine which has been deposited and is still deposited to form the natural dams that separate the lakes. Since the process is ongoing today, just as it always has, new travertine barriers, curtains, stalactites, channels, and cascades are built as the existing ones keep changing. So it doesn’t matter if you have visited the lakes before, they probably look different now, so you can visit them again and never be bored. Besides the lakes, there are some interesting caves in which remains of prehistoric settlements have been found.

5.00Beautiful park! It was a long drive from Split but well worth it. The bus was comfortable and there is a stop to stretch your legs midway. The trail wasn't too challenging and there was shade in several areas. Sonja was a great guide!
Best day trip from Split .. tiring but so worth it

5.00What an excellent day trip. The tour guide Sanja was excellent and so was the driver. The bus was very comfortable, and the stop they took at a gas station was very good too. Reminded me of service stations in Austria. The best part is walking over the lakes (on walkways) … amazing feeling. It was not a very hot day but can be tiring of temp is too high. Must do trip !!

5.00The lakes and waterfalls are beautiful. The transport there and leader were great! There were a lot of visitors to the park which was challenging and frustrating at times but that’s nobody’s fault.
Anyway, you can see a lot of waterfalls. I followed the picture...

5.00Anyway, you can see a lot of waterfalls. I tend to take a lot of pictures. In summer, it is wonderful to walk along a cool and pleasant promenade. There is a slight ascent, but if you walk at your own pace, you should be in a safe place. Just don't lose sight of the group as it will be crowded with tourists.
