  We did a kayak tour with guide Helen. Super good, absolutely recommended! Small group, lots of anecdotes from the area. Safety top! Anytime again.

  Tour was great, we had a good time. Tom was a really great guide and told us a lot about nature and Environment. We kayaked in total around 17 km. The muscle ache today let me still remember 😅

  What a wonderful way to take in the beauty of the Picton area. Our guide let us lead the pace…so we were able to take regular breaks and look for sea life.

  Had a great time! Guide was friendly, helpful, caring and told us lots of interesting facts about the environment and wildlife of the Charlotte sound. The sound is beautiful and we saw lots of bird activity. Lunch was also very yummy Be aware that it might be exhausting especially if it is windy. Then you’ll get completely wet

  Kayaking was was sooo fun it was a windy day but we stayed in the bays mostly so we were protected. We had Rachel as our guide and she seemed kind and nolageable guiding us to see stingrays, eagle rays, Reef Stars, Sea cucumbers, pi shags, Royal Spoonbill, and many more amazing animals. I loved it and would highly recommend to others when in the Sounds and Picton

  We chose to kayak all day on the Sound, which was gorgeous. Then the guide took all of us to a shoreline, and instructed us to stay along the shore until we came to Lochmara Lodge, while the rest returned to Picton. I had been very nervous about that part, but the guide stayed with us until I was completely at ease. Our luggage had been sent ahead by water taxi. We came to beautiful Lochmara Lodge which has its own beach, restaurant and rooms, and even a zoo of local animals. In the morning, they gave us a packed lunch, and we sent our luggage back via water taxi. We hiked the Queen Charlotte Trail all day, and were picked up by another water taxi and brought back to Picton. The company is extremely organized and very cognizant about making their customers feel at ease, even completely customizing their experiences. We saw several other customers picked up or dropped off in custom places to match their schedules. This is a great company for a great experience

  Be prepared to get a great workout and get wet! A parka and kayak skirt is supplied but you will need jandals and sun protection for out on the water The weather was on our side as we set off in our double person kayak with our guide and another couple. It was fun meandering along the shoreline enjoying the scenery and wildlife and then kayaking across the sound and parking up for morning tea and later lunch. These are part of the package together with a hot cuppa cooked over a gas burner. Food is simple and filling. There was a bit of traffic out on the water to dodge and the inevitable wake that comes with it but that was part of the fun. An intense workout paddling back into picton harbour around the back of the bird sanctuary. This was good value for money and we look forward to doing this trip again in January 2022. Hopefully our borders will be open by then.

  Today we had the pleasure of being part of George's kayaking adventure through Queen Charlotte Sound! George was informative, funny, a great teacher, guide and picnic provider. He really made our day one to remember. It rained, the sun shone, we saw lots of wildlife and George always had an informative answer to the dozens of questions I threw at him. Thank you George and Marlboroug Sounds Adventure Company for one of the best days ever!! <3
