This is a world-class experience on top of the highest mountain Oman, Jebel Shams.
Climb the top 200m cliffs of a 2,000m high mountain like a pro, without any previous experience. This is what the Via Ferrata is all about.
In just one day, you’ll hike the famous Balcony Walk, visit the abandoned mountain village of Sab Bani Khamis, rest by a hidden lake, and tackle the Via Ferrata — all guided by a certified local adventure expert.
Our guide is not only trained and experienced, but also welcoming and culturally connected, offering stories, insight, and a warm introduction to mountain life.
After the trek, enjoy a simple and authentic home-cooked lunch served by a local Omani family under the palm leaves.

Pick-up at 8am After having a breakfast in the hotel, you will meet the Omani Guide at 8:00 a.m. Begin your journey from Muscat towards the majestic Hajar Mountains. Enjoy the scenic drive as you head west. The drive usually takes around 3 hours towards Jebel Shams.
Al Hamra
Stop at Al Hamra : A short break in the historic town of Al Hamra to grab snacks or essentials before we ascend into the mountains.

5.00Amazing experience. Everything went smoothly and our guides Hamood and Sulaiman were so sweet and helpful. 2 guides to 5 pax. We were picked up from Muscat and stopped along the way for small bites. Balcony hike (1.5hrs) was beautiful and via ferrata (1.5hrs) was super fun. I was kinda slow and Hamood kept encouraging me to take short breaks, they did not rush me at all. Their equipment were very well maintained and looked quite new. They also took drone shots! On the drive back they even showed us some historical sites. 10/10 would do it again. Their no is +96897114741

5.00This was by far our favourite day in Oman. Everything was so organized from the moment we booked. Our guide Sulaiman was extremely knowledgeable and kind and made us feel taken care of every step of the way. There views were also breathtaking! Once we got to the via ferrata Sulaiman explained everything very clearly as it was our first time. He was very patient with us and made us feel very safe and we also really enjoyed it once we got the hang of it! I recommend this trip with Wiki Tours to anyone who is after a unique experience and a fun challenge. GO FOR IT!!

5.00Saif and Zak were awesome guides. My three friends and I had an incredibly fun and memorable adventure hiking in a one of the most beautiful canyons we have seen. We were picked up from our hotel and drove up to mountains to begin the day. We were treated to tons of info on Omani culture, tradition, and fun music along the way. The hike was not too difficult for our group, and the views were exceptional. Huge canyon views off to the side with local goats roaming the trails. Pictures of canyon do not do it justice. The trail ends at a very nice natural pool where Saif and Zak shared coffee and snacks to prep for via ferrata. There was a short hike up to via ferrata where we started ascent out of canyon. My friends and I followed the guides’ lead up the walls. It was moderately challenging mentally and physically, but very worth the experience. My three friends had never climbed before, the guides were very helpful and instructive the whole time. Thanks to them, we had no issues getting up the route. Finally, Zak treated us to a local tour of Nizwa, showing us more local culture of a historic site and introducing us to many friends and Omani traditional dishes. Highly recommend this trip, I hope to return to summit Jabal Shams and will certainly reach out to Saif and Zak.
