Join us for a walk through history as we explore the center of Split, a 1700year-old city and ancient Roman city-palace protected by UNESCO.
We will stroll not only through the old town, the Palace and its cellars but also through 2000 years of history filled with both educational and amusing, as well as bizarre situations.
Meereen, the place where Daenerys spent three seasons, where scenes of the fight between slaves and masters (the "kill the masters" scene) were filmed, battles of Grey Worm and the Unsullied against the Sons of the Harpy, the death of Ser Barristan Selmy who saved Grey Worm, the dragons that Daenerys chained and later fed to the evil masters.

5.00Very nice walking tour with a very knowledgeable guide who had tons of local recommendations, stories, and anecdotes. I am not a Game of Thrones fan; I was more fascinated by how a city can be turned into a movie set, which was very visibly illustrated by showing scenes of the series. My little dog, Ohtello, was also welcome and we had a really good time.

5.00You must do this tour if you are a true Game of Thrones fan. Markos showed us all of the filming sites but watching the actual scenes at the actual place it was filmed made it extra special as well as the fact that he is a true fan as well. The tour was about 1.5 hours mixed with some historical context of the city. It was very informative and the timing was perfect.

5.00Wow we just had our GOT tour at Split with Marko who did a fantastic job walking through all the amazing sites that were used for the filming of GOT. Marko took time explaining the history of the old town of Split while hitting on main points and details of each scene while showing te actual clip of the movie on his iPad to fully integrate you into setting. After which he takes a picture of you in the setting with the movie clip on the iPad. You really get a great sense of how the movie was put together. Marko also includes non GOT content in the tour to educate you about history of Split. Great combination that compliments the tour. I highly recommend this tour. Well Done Marko!!

5.00The visit was perfect, balanced mix of historical info and GOT anecdotes. We go to the scene where the scenes were shot and watch them on a tablet, perfect to visualize that it is the same place! Marco, our guide was very friendly, with a great sense of humor (and a great level up Valerian 😂). The visit was in English but very understandable and Marco also speaks French and regularly checked that I understood correctly. I was also offered a virtual reality experience about the story of Diocletian in a museum.

5.00Really enjoyed this combined tour - equal parts a history of Split, and showing us the filming locations for Game of Thrones that were filmed in the city. Marko is a brilliant guide - very friendly, knowledgeable and funny. Highly recommended!

The guide was engaging and full of interesting information, and the tour was well organized without being too long—perfect for getting to know the city quickly.
