1.00Truly AWFUL. As other recent reviews have said - the bus is freezing and the microphone system does not work. We were unable to hear the guide so I raised my concerns with the tour guide Johnathan and the whole of the downstairs of the bus agreed that they’d been unable to hear the commentary. Despite him trying to improve the mic, things did not improve. The whole experience was awful. After raising concerns in person, I then emailed immediately after to request a refund as the tour had been SO poor. Here is their response - Due to our company policy, we are unable to offer a refund. However, we would very much like to make amends by offering you three complimentary tickets to join us again at a time of your choosing. Il be going for a refund through my credit card company. My advice is DO NOT BOOK!

5.00John Doe was very very funny! He dealt professionally with other talking people, well done!! Lots of good jokes and interaction, lots of good facts definitely worth it! Would recommend sitting downstairs

5.00Really enjoyable fun packed ghost tour on the bus, with a little walk about thrown in. The driver and conductor were fabulous and very entertaining. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Would highly recommend.

2.00We booked this after e had gone to the Edinburgh one last year which was incredible, we knew how much history York held so we looked forward to this. When we were waiting for the bus we were excited and was great to get on, windows where very condensates but could still see. The host was funny, frank stein. However I think at points this ruined things for me. I didn’t enjoy 10 minutes of speaking about Barney bear ham. Or asking the same person what their favourite vegetable was. I just felt a little let down and wanted to learn/know more and feel a bit spooked out and also have the side of comedy. But this just missed completely for me. I left feeling deflated and like I had wasted my money which is never a good thing. I was in two minds on whether or not to moan, but I don’t know if as we booked the only time of 9pm left if the workers were just a little exhausted. I’d definitely reccomend maybe an early slot to avoid this.

3.00It started well and was funny however the bus was very noisy and we couldn’t hear the commentary. It was dark and we couldn’t see the sights. We only left the bus once to visit the Shambles.

1.00The “ Experience” never happened. My mum and I booked the bus tour for the 16th November. We had took a one night trip to see the markets and spend some quality time together. We booked the tour as we thought it would be fun and something to do in the evening instead of sitting in our hotel room. We arrived 20 mins early for the bus, and waited outside at a bus stop with many other people for our tour to start. By 9pm the bus had arrived but parked down the road. About 10 mins later a member of staff came to us from the bus and just said it was cancelled due to a technical fault. At first we all thought it was a joke until the man said “ you’ll all have to contact the company for a refund” then walked off! Not quite sure why we should have to be chasing a refund. This should have been done by the company. It was also very clear that the amount of people waiting for the tour wasn’t going to fit on the bus. We was told the tour before us at 7.30pm turned people with tickets away because they were oversold. Although at the time we were gutted about the cancellation, we now think we may of had a narrow escape

1.00We got off after 10 minutes and got a full refund as you cannot hear a thing when sat upstairs, the sound system is absolutely terrible. Was really looking forward to this following the dungeons and was extremely let down. They should not be taking people's money for the upstairs when they know the sounds system is broken. Thank you for the fast refund though

5.00Great ghost bus tour. Regaled with true facts with a comedic twist. Sam and Bob were so funny. Definitely worth doing. Got stuck in heavy traffic which he turned into a comedy. Would recommend it.

3.00The conducter and driver were great however for approximately half of the journey you couldnt barely hear what was being said due to poor sound do missed information. I did hear other passengers also comment on this. Also the meeting point advised on information was different to where we met do a little sressful on the lead up.
