Thingvellir National Park
Learn about some of the thrilling and somewhat gruesome history of Iceland at Thingvellir National Park. It’s significance is so great that it is a designated UNESCO world heritage site. You’ll walk the grounds where Icelandic democracy began and visit sites where Viking-era justice was carried out including the Drowning Pool and the Gallows Rock. Thingvellir is also the place where two tectonic plates are gradually separating creating a gorgeous landscape of steep cliffs and broad fields featuring Thingvallavatn, the largest natural lake in Iceland.

Chris was our your guide and Anna the driver.Chris impressed us with his knowledge of Iceland and the local stories from olden days .He was well organised with time management and it was a good value day out .Pick up was on time.. another tick off the list !

5.00Very enjoyable tour, our guide Peter was very knowledgable with a sense of humour. Tour is 6 hours but it flies by. All stops had good facilities. All the Reykjavík Excursion buses have free WiFi. Wrap up warm, take snacks and drinks.
Good tour in beautiful places. Felt a bit rushed though.

4.00The tour is great and the places are amazing. I just wish we had more time at the stops to actually be able to enjoy it. I am travelling with 2 kids, so a 30mins stop is not sufficient as it may take 30 mins only to take them into the toilet!

5.00We had a great day at the Golden Circle! Marianne C. showed us the highlights of the route with enthusiasm and joy and provided us with information. With Tomas D. at the wheel of the super-modern coach, we felt in good hands at all times. Thanks to the two of them, whose enjoyment of their job was really worth gold! We were picked up on time at the hotel and also dropped off again. It couldn’t be more relaxed.

5.00We had a great Golden Circle trip with Gudjon Jes as our guide. The journey was very informative and funny through him. The coach with Hrafnhildur as a safe driver was very comfortable.

1.00The company completely abandoned us. We were unable to view our booking passes so we could not even access what the meeting point was. We could not reach anyone by phone or via text. But it was clearly charged to my credit card. So on our anniversary trip, we completely missed out on the experience. If I could give 0 stars I would.
