Combine your trip to the Great Salt Lake with what I consider the only way to visit it by experiencing Antelope Island. This little known island is teaming with wildlife, and you can't get the quiet of wilderness by simply visiting it near I-80. We will spot for the wild herd of 600 American Bison roaming the island. Amongst the Bison we'll watch for coyote, bobcat, antelope, porcupine, big-horn sheep, mule deer and if the season is right up to 200,000 migratory birds. You can truly experience Nature in its finest form on this beautiful island. After wildlife spotting, we'll hike to Buffalo Point on the Island to watch the sunset and take in the breathtaking views. *Bug Season (April-June) We have bug spray for the mosquitos, and hats/bug nets for the biting gnats. Midges do not bite. The Hike is .9 miles round trip. It has a couple steep parts on dirt, but it's very well traveled. I would designate this as a moderate hiking difficulty, which is less than a mile. The Tour Vehicle is a High Roof 12 Passenger Mercedes Sprinter Passenger Van marked with Sunnyside Expeditions. It was great large windows in the back for Wildlife viewing. There is bathroom availability

5.00Fun tour, beautiful sunset with bison watching. Bugs were savages but was given bug spray and head net to help keep them off. Worth it. Got great pictures!

5.00A stellar experience, cannot recommend this enough. During our trip we saw bison, antelope, burrowing owls and different species of birds. We capped the evening off with the most beautiful sunset view I’ve ever seen. Our tour guides Blake and Ben were a fountain of knowledge, incredibly warm and friendly, and absolutely stellar at spotting different animals and stopping for us to get a view and take photos. I felt at ease with them and loved some of the spontaneous adventures we got up to as well. Thanks so much for this incredible experience!

5.00My trip was incredible! I only had half a day while traveling for work. I am happy that I decided to visit great salt lake. My tour guide, Phil, is the best! I learned a lot from him. I can’t wait to return with my family on a longer trip.
