This was an easy enjoyable ramble around a block of the CBD, with a bit of humour, and a lot of cool facts about Napier's Earthquake and Art Deco rebuild history. The guide new the uneven parts of the route and pointed them out. If you are going on a weekend, be aware that one portion is only available to view through glass doors from outside, as the business housing the decor is closed.

A very interesting tour. We booked our tour on the same day as a cruise ship was in port and so I suspect there were more volunteers dressed in period costume than might normally be the case. However it all added to a really positive atmosphere. Our guide gave a clear presentation initially and this was followed by in interesting film telling the story of Napier’s earthquake destruction and its subsequent rebuilding. An informative guided walk followed and added further information about a very proud city / town. A recommended activity whilst in Napier.

Good walking tour (with short introductory movie to start). Headsets included. Plenty of info regarding the devastating earthquake in Napier in the 1930s, the impressively quick rebuild, and the many examples of art deco architecture across the city centre. Knowledgeable guide too. I do think it'd be better to have a slightly lower maximum number of guests on the tour, though, as it did feel that the group was at times in the way of other people trying to get past, and it was tough for the guide to keep the group together.
