Thanks to a friendly exchange the day before the trip, we were able to prepare for our journey. Nigel picked us up on time from our place and was very welcoming. After a short introduction to the features of the car and the route, we were off. We enjoyed the information provided and the answers to the questions we had accumulated during our tour of New Zealand, as well as the stops at some hidden spots, as well as the standard ones. We even had time for one or two extra stops to look for geocaches. Nigel made sure we arrived at the harbour on time and secured us great seats on the boat. After a long day with many beautiful impressions, we were quite tired but happy. We highly recommend booking this tour with Nigel.
The trip to and from Milford Sound was one of the highlights of our New Zealand trip.

We did the Guided Private Milford Sound Day Tour from Te Anau with the included cruise today. Our guide, John, was wonderful. He was informative and engaging on the trip to and from Milford Sound. There were many stops and photos assisted by John; he even escorted us to the boat that we boarded for the cruise. The trip to and from Milford Sound was one of the highlights of our New Zealand trip. It was a rainy day but that made the trip even more engaging as the water fell from the mountains and we saw hundreds of waterfalls throughout the day. This private guided tour was incredibly convenient, comfortable and engaging.

Very knowledgeable guide, booked a good tour for us, stopped a many places aided by local knowledge. Good timing ahead of the rush of buses from Queenstown. Highly recommend to anyone visiting.

Would thoroughly recommend this trip. We were so well looked after by our guide John. Nothing was too much trouble and we were very impressed with his patience and amazing knowledge of the area. His sense of humour was also very infectious. John provided ample opportunity for multiple photo stops and we were so impressed with the stunning scenery. Nigel provided an amazing guided experience from Te Anau to Milford Sound and back. We are so glad that we didn't drive out ourselves. Nigel knew exactly where to go and when. He provided lovely information about the area without being a route tour guide. Stopped at the best spots for photos, got us on to the boat for the tour where we saw our first Orcas! Nigel nor the captain were willing to guarantee that would ever happen again. Truly a 5* experience. Worth the splurge.

John treated us so well today! He knew so much about the wildlife and the forests and the farms and all the best hiking spots! Even whipped up a beautiful tea break for us with a neat gadget to boil water with a wood fire! Took care to be sure we had a bite to eat before boarding the cruise. Very wet and rainy day but the waterfalls were spectacular at Milford Sound. Great recommendations for things to do in Te Anau as well.
