Along the way she shares fascinating stories about Costa Rica’s national heroes, influential writers and artists, and the political figures who shaped the country. Born and raised in Alajuela, Ashlie clearly loves her city and is passionate about sharing the very best of her hometown with visitors. She also made the experience especially welcoming and thoughtful—even surprising us with refreshing bottles of iced tea along the way.
