You will fish on our river boats on the Kenai River and Kasilof River for salmon fishing. Distance from the launch/state park to fishing spots can be anywhere from 1/8 miles to a few miles. We offer our fishing gears and waders (for red salmon fishing) with our professional guides. We are here to assist you to hook salmon! We provide almost everything what you need from us. Looking forward to fishing with you! Don't forget to purchase your fishing licenses.

5.00Chris maybe close to king but I saw his son bring in a few more fish in the boat next to us, so his son might be the real king. 😆 We met Chris at the dock he was already there gear was ready, but was ready. We jumped on. I didn't realize how busy that river was, but we found a spot. Chris kept in contact with other boats around the river and kept maneuvering to get the right spot the weather was awesome. We caught some fish and had a great afternoon. I'm coming back next year hopefully his son will teach him a couple things 😆 I think you have a better chance of limiting if you go on the early morning tour, but we went more for the fun so we went in the afternoon tour. Great time

5.00I had an amazing time on my half-day fishing trip on the Kenai River with Captain Dean, the owner of King of the River. Dean is a fantastic guide—patient, knowledgeable, and a great teacher. He took the time to explain techniques, share his expertise, and make sure the whole experience was enjoyable from start to finish. Even beyond the fishing, the trip was unforgettable. Cruising the Kenai River, I got to see eagles, seals, and incredible scenery that made the day even more special. Dean’s passion for what he does and his easygoing, gracious personality made the whole trip worth every minute. I can’t recommend King of the River enough. This was my first Alaskan fishing trip, and thanks to Dean and his deckhand, I left with great memories and knowledge I’ll carry forward. I’d book with them again in a heartbeat!
King of the River is the best! 5 stars isn't enough to describe the exeprience.

5.00Our guide Bobby from King of the River was excellent. There were two of us on this trip and we came in with minimal fishing experience and had never fished for salmon before. Bobby knew exactly where to go and while the salmon runs had tapered a bit, we still got our limit of sockeye and silver salmon after a few hours. He was patient with us and a great coach. Bobby took care of everything and we couldn't have been happier with the day. He knew all of the regulations, the proper way to catch, all we had to do was show up and bring a fishing license. If I ever fish the Kenai again, we will for sure charter with King of the River.
Our family had a blast fishing!

5.00Our family made some fun memories Fishing for Salmon. Bob is an excellent guide and instructor, giving us helpful fishing tips and cheering us on. We enjoyed being on the river and taking in beautiful Alaska . We had the Salmon prepped and took it back with us. We are all looking forward to many delicious meals of Salmon that we caught ourselves!

5.00The fishing was amazing! Our guides, Jason & Chris, helped us catch all the fish we wanted. They also went above and beyond to be sure we could bring our fish home frozen & packaged for our flight the next morning.

5.00The owner Dean hires only the best people to run his boats. We’ve used these folks for probably close to a dozen times if we include family member charters. Chis, Jason, several other Captains ( that I have forgotten their names), Dean and their boat hands are all very skilled outstanding in customer service, taking the time to ensure everyone fishes correctly and safely. I would not consider using anyone else for our Kenai River/Kasiloff river charters. These guys provide the very best service one could ask for! We’ve limited out every trip!

5.00Chris Made sure our day of fishing was a success. Even though we had a very slow start. Chris hung in there with us and stayed out late to make sure we all had a great tie and all caught FISH! Amazing Experience, I would Highly recommend them.

5.00We were first time salmon fishermen. Jason our guide was wonderful, getting us set up and teaching us the technique to catch fish. We were fortunate to catch our limit in less than two hours. Definitely the highlight of our Alaskan fishing trip.

5.00The owner Dean only hires the best guides- and Captain Chris is the best of the best. Booked a 1/2 day trip when the fishing was slow and Chris made sure everyone knew the boat caught a fish- even if it took until 10:30pm. King of the River is a class above every outfit on the Kenai River. Whether you are a seasoned fisher, or never fished before Chris will ensure by the time you leave the boat you know what you are doing and your heading home with fish. I had so much fun on the river I ended up extending my week and booking another trip with Chris- and filled my freezer in the process thanks to King of the River. Don’t waste your time fishing with anyone else!
