5.00My husband and I went on a small group tour with Matteo. It was absolutely fabulous! He is a wealth of knowledge and the excitement that he has for Roman history really helped bring the city alive. We only had a day in Rome so this tour really helped us see the major monuments during our stay. Would definitely recommend!!

5.00This was an excellent experience to get an overview of Rome. Our guide, Eva, was simple wonderful—kind, informative, and thoughtful. Her tour was filled with the big moments and quiet ones that aren’t on the usual list of things people want to see in Rome. And her ability to manage the crowds was simply awe inspiring! Also, thanks to Eva for noticing that we had some mobility issues and adapted accordingly. Great experience!

5.00Matte gave our family a private tour, and what an amazing tour it was! I wish we had done the tour on the first day in town, but even on our last day, we saw places we didn’t even think to ask. Matte is very easy going and extremely informative! He knows his history!!!! He loves movies and so do we so we had lots to talk about! He even showed us some movie sites. We also requested to see the gold cobblestones of WWII Jewish holocaust victims. It was chilling. He shared some funny pranks of Bernini as well as myths of the city’s “she wolf”. Ask for Matte! You will not be disappointed.

Gallo and Massimo - a perfect 3 hour tour!

5.00The booking of our private tour with Gallo was straightforward and I received a WhatsApp set of messages from Massimo to discuss the best place to pick us up. Once we got going we explained to Massimo that we had been to Rome before and that this was the last day of our current week in Rome - so we knew all the major sites. Massimo made numerous suggestions for a different tour and we agreed to visit St Paul outside the Walls and then the Coppede area amongst other sites. Massimo showed us Rome's tribute to those who lost their lives in 9/11 as well as a man hole cover on the Aventine hill! It's what lies under that cover that was interesting (a Hadrian chamber). These little gems were perfect for us who know Rome a little better. Massimo knows Rome inside out. His enthusiasm and love for his city was amazing and I have to say that the three hours we spent with him, seeing the "less touristy" side of Rome will live long in our memories. Massimo loved that fact that we too love Rome and he was flexible enough to give us a fantastic three hours on our last day that really ensured we ended our holiday in the best possible way. I think people like Massimo make Rome. He was so enthusiastic, warm, friendly and interested in us and he sure knows his city! I highly recommend Gallo tours and I especially recommend Massimo if you have fallen in love with Rome - or if you want to!

5.00We did the golf cart tour and it was such a fun and easy way to see a lot of Rome in just a few hours. Riding around the city in the cart made it really comfortable, and our guide shared great stories and history at every stop. It felt relaxed, well organized, and honestly one of the best tours we did during our time in Rome.
