Kawaguchi Asama Shrine
The shrine was built to pray for the goddess of Mt.Fuji to settle down the eruption 1200 years ago and there are 7 ancient trees in this place. Since the location of the shrine is far from the touristic area,we can enjoy the sacred atmosphere quietly.

5.00If you are planning a trip to Mt. Fuji (especially if it's your first time), I ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND booking this private tour with Yuki! From the very beginning, organizing everything was incredibly simple because he is so easy to talk to and stays in touch via WhatsApp, which made discussing our plans super convenient. In the days leading up to our tour, Yuki even went out of his way to continuously check weather forecasts to make sure we actually got to see the majestic Mt. Fuji. Thanks to him, my girlfriend and I got to Fuji-san in all her glory, up close and personal. He was even happy to adjust his itinerary so we could visit a few extra spots we were interested in, so don't be afraid to tell him if there's anywhere in the Kawaguchiko area you'd like to go! The private tour itself was easily the highlight of our trip. Yuki’s ride was super comfortable, and he is an excellent guide who speaks great English and shares wonderful insights and knowledge throughout the trip from the eyes of a true local. He took us to several "secret" spots around Kawaguchiko that were breathtakingly beautiful and with less tourists, making the whole day feel like a magical experience designed just for us. He was incredibly patient, warm, and accommodating, even acting as our personal photographer and videographer throughout the day so we could just focus on enjoying the moment. The absolute best part, however, was how Yuki helped me plan a surprise proposal to my now-fiancée. He found us the most intimate, quiet spot with a perfect view of Mt. Fuji and even discreetly recorded the whole thing for us. Yuki, thank you so much for making that moment truly special and for being such a huge part of our story. We are so honoured to have been your first-ever tour proposal! We truly feel like we’ve made a new friend in you, and we can’t wait to grab those drinks together next time we’re in town. 5.00Yuki gave my mother and me a wonderful private tour. He took us to beautiful, uncrowded spots with gorgeous views of Mount Fuji, including stunning reflections on the lakes and lovely cherry blossoms. We also visited an incredible lava cave in Aokigahara Forest, which was fascinating, and the forest itself was hauntingly beautiful. Yuki was very informative throughout the trip. He speaks excellent English, so communication was effortless. He was also very kind and helpful with my mother, assisting her in walking through the slightly more challenging parts like the cave and some steeper shrine steps. It was a fantastic experience.

5.00Yuki was a fantastic guide with plenty of knowledge, a very safe driver with excellent English. Pick up and drop off at hotel was very convenient. Yuki also took us to places just as good as popular tourist places but without all the crowds. I highly recommend booking with Yuki for your tour. Thank you Yuki.

5.0010/ 5 stars for our guide, Yuki!! He was extremely knowledgeable about everything we asked about and then some. (And we asked a lot of specific questions) He has a very intimate knowledge of the area and was able to whip up a completely custom itinerary for me based on some very vague goals. He could always sense the perfect time to take a good picture too. It honestly felt like a good friend was showing us around and if we ever go back to summit Mount Fuji I would reach out to him without hesitation.

5.00Had a fabulous day with Yuki travelling around the Mt Fuji area. Yuki was a delight. We saw much of the area while side stepping the crowds. Yuki was informative and our day was varied and interesting. We were lucky enough to see Mt Fuji in all her glory. Highly recommend Yuki as a tour guide and a lovely person to spend a day with.

5.00Fantastic shrines, forests, and lakes. We were interested in nature and cultural history and he provided it all! Stopped for local udon lunch and loved it. Didn’t feel rushed at all. We never would have found any of the stops on our own. We highly recommend Yuki🎎💕
