Kawaguchi Sengen Shrine
The shrine was built to pray for the goddess of Mt.Fuji to settle down the eruption 1200 years ago and there are 7 ancient trees in this place. Since the location of the shrine is far from the touristic area,we can enjoy the sacred atmosphere quietly.

5.00We really had a fantastic day with Yuki seeing sites around Kawaguchiko. Due to his experience and extensive knowledge of the area he was able to take us to places a bit off the usual tourist route. His local knowledge was outstanding and he was able to answer our many questions about the areas we visited. His historical and cultural knowledge was both interesting and informative. Yuki took us to a restaurant for lunch which served the local specialty. His passion for the outdoors and love of nature was evident at all times during the tour. Yuki has an engaging and friendly personality and was very respectful at all times. We had a wonderful day with Yuki and would highly recommend any tour he provides.

5.00YUKI!! If we lived in Japan, you would be a friend. Yuki covers all the bases. Knowledgeable, delightful, and energetic with a calm, he will customize your visit with him depending on weather and your physical abilities. Mt. Fuji is completely jaw dropping and very complicated. Between its history and how quickly the physical weather can change, Yuki has got it down and will guide you seamlessly through a myriad of places… anyway you look at it, you will not be bored. The best thing is, he perks your imagination. Most physical places you visit, you see the sight… and your done. With Yuki as your guide it opens up a whole new curiosity chest of where you want to visit next! BTW, he does hiking tours and also teaches English to kids. This guy is indeed a not to be missed and a very special person to lead you to the beginning of a journey into to this very special mountain.

5.00Yuki was an excellent guide. He was very friendly and informative and really helpful and accommodating. On this occasion we were unable to see Fuji because of the weather, but the tour was still enjoyable with the other places we went to and leaving about Fuji's history. Thank you!

5.00Overall, an amazing experience. Yuki knew exactly where to go for all the hidden gems, and scenic views of Mt. Fuji. He was also extremely knowledgeable and had answers to all of our questions (even the unrelated ones - Osaka vs Hiroshima style okonomiyaki). Highly recommend this excursion!

5.00We had an amazing experience with our tour guide, Yuki, during our visit to Mount Fuji. He was perfectly on time picking us up, which made the start of our day smooth and stress-free. Throughout the tour, he was very informative and shared so many interesting facts about the area, making the trip even more special. Yuki also took us to a wonderful local restaurant for lunch, which was a highlight of the day, such a great choice! Most importantly, he was attentive and took care of us the entire time, ensuring we were comfortable and enjoying every moment. At the end of the tour, we had matcha tea with a deliciois Japanese treat! We truly appreciated his kindness and professionalism. Highly recommend Yuki for anyone visiting Mount Fuji!

5.00We had a wonderful private tour with Yuki! Our family of 4 (2 adults and 2 middle school boys) all enjoyed getting off the beaten path and seeing the quiet and beautiful spots around Mt. Fuji. Yuki's communication before the tour was superb. We were originally booked to do a hiking tour with Yuki, unfortunately we had a morning forecast of heavy rain. He pivoted and offered us his driving tour in anticipation of the weather. From pick up in his comfortable car, excellent English explanations of the areas and legends and a great local lunch, we all had a great time. If you are on the fence you will not regret booking a tour with Yuki!

5.00I cannot recommend this driving tour enough! I was traveling in a group of five and it ended up being our favorite day out of two weeks in Japan. Yuki drove us to spots all around Fuji Five Lakes that we never would have been able to reach using public transportation and that we never even realized we should go to. He told us about many of the legends, history, and traditions of the various shrines and sights we visited. It was also very interesting getting to know Yuki throughout the day and learning about all of his travels around the world. It was also very easy to communicate with Yuki after booking. We had a specific restaurant we wanted to go to for lunch and he incorporated it into our plan for the day. We had planned to end the tour at the station where my group had stored our luggage but Yuki was generous enough to take us back to our hotel afterwards even though it was past the end of our tour time. After days of walking in the summer heat, this tour was a fantastic way to experience Fuji Five lakes while sparing our sore feet. This was my first time using Viator for anything and I’m so glad I decided to. If you’re considering booking this tour, do it! It was the highlight of our trip and an unforgettable experience we’ll always remember.
