Mount Ainslie Lookout
One of Canberra’s most beautiful vantage points at the top of Mount Ainslie. From the lookout, your guide will explain the growth of a young city, the two-tiered colonial and capital city history and point out places of interest and key attractions, all while you survey the tremendous design of Canberra’s architect, Walter Burley Griffin.
Expect a drive through the grounds of the Royal Military College Duntroon - Australian Army's officer training establishment and perhaps to Mount Pleasant where you’ll be delighted to an alternative aspect overlooking central Canberra.

5.00We saw a lot of Canberra in a day. Bob was friendly and knowledgeable and a great person to spend a day with. It took a lot of the stress out of us getting to all the sights by ourselves, and was far more enriching.

5.00I went on a highlights of Canberra all day small group tour. The driver/guide was really good and informative. The other guests were a great bunch to spend the day with also. I was satisfied and very tired after a full day out. Management is also very approachable and friendly. The tour was well worth the cost and I will look forward to dealing with this company again on future travels. There was an issue (my fault) with my booking and management were very helpful and sorted it for me. Thanks so much for a great and memorable day out. Suitable for all ages and abilities except wheelchair.

5.00Long day with lots of interesting history to consume. Our guide was amazing in his understanding of Canberra history. He was also curious about where everyone was from. He presented the information in such a way.. it was clear he found this information interesting.

5.00We did the full day guided tour and it was very much worth the time and money. Bob (our guide and minibus driver) was amazing, so knowledgeable but also funny, kind and patient with my mum who doesn't have the best mobility. He made sure we had a wheelchair at all the longest walking spots which mum really appreciated. The day didn't feel rushed and I am grateful to have learned more about the origins of Canberra and how the city became what it is today. We had a fab day!

5.00This tour provides a great introduction to Canberra and covers the city’s origins. Our guide Neil grew up in the city and it was great to have his “insider” perspective. He also suggested other places to visit beyond the tour. Highly recommend!

5.00We had an absolutely wonderful tour of the capital with Canberra Guided Tours. Neil was our guide and he proved to be a wealth of information, not at least about Australian politics and history. Difficult questions were answered clearly and meticulously. The whole tour was above eight hours long and a fantastic introduction to Australia and particularly the uniqueness of Canberra for us. We are so happy that we could go on this outstanding tour. Neil is one of the very best guides we’ve ever had, and we sign up for guided tours in almost every town we visit abroad. Eric and Anita
