Mount Ainslie Lookout

One of Canberra’s most beautiful vantage points at the top of Mount Ainslie. From the lookout, your guide will explain the growth of a young city, the two-tiered colonial and capital city history and point out places of interest and key attractions, all while you survey the tremendous design of Canberra’s architect, Walter Burley Griffin.

Very good tour to discover the history and main sights of Canberra. The tour guide was a long term local who had attended Duntroon military college in the past.

Long day with lots of interesting history to consume. Our guide was amazing in his understanding of Canberra history. He was also curious about where everyone was from. He presented the information in such a way.. it was clear he found this information interesting.

We did the full day guided tour and it was very much worth the time and money. Bob (our guide and minibus driver) was amazing, so knowledgeable but also funny, kind and patient with my mum who doesn't have the best mobility. He made sure we had a wheelchair at all the longest walking spots which mum really appreciated. The day didn't feel rushed and I am grateful to have learned more about the origins of Canberra and how the city became what it is today. We had a fab day!

Excellent Canberra tour with Neil who was a superb guide. Stress-free and informative, with flexibility to explore. Heaps of knowledge shared about the city's history and culture. Highly recommended, great way to see the city when you’re on a short timeframe.

This tour provides a great introduction to Canberra and covers the city’s origins. Our guide Neil grew up in the city and it was great to have his “insider” perspective. He also suggested other places to visit beyond the tour. Highly recommend!

We had an absolutely wonderful tour of the capital with Canberra Guided Tours. Neil was our guide and he proved to be a wealth of information, not at least about Australian politics and history. Difficult questions were answered clearly and meticulously. The whole tour was above eight hours long and a fantastic introduction to Australia and particularly the uniqueness of Canberra for us. We are so happy that we could go on this outstanding tour. Neil is one of the very best guides we’ve ever had, and we sign up for guided tours in almost every town we visit abroad. Eric and Anita

Have been to Canberra many times in my youth. It was time to show my wife. This tour was to to orientate ourselves and to plan our week. It certainly didn't disappoint. The guide Neil was very passionate about how Canberra came to fruition. Very knowledgeable and the rest of the day just flowed. I highly recommend this tour, it was a small group able to befriend other tourist, we saw all the highlights and was able to plan the rest of our trip. Thank you for a great day.

This was a great one day tour of Canberra. It is the capital city and there are some very poignant sights that are must see. Everything closes super early so you really have done as much as humanly possible in one day.
