The trip was cancelled a day before due to Covid reasons and we had to make our own arrangements for the sightseeing, given we were flying out the same evening. No refund has been received so far from the tour operator, despite of chasing them multiple times. I am raising it formally with Trip Advisor, Australian Consumer Commission and also Australian Tourism Council.

Very definitely got a taste of Canberra in the tour, with only a short time here, it really gave us a chance to see as much as we could. Graham was a great guide and super knowledgeable of Canberra and its machinations. Thank you, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

Neil had a great deal of knowledge which he shared with us. He was able to share the history of Canberra and answer all our questions. We felt that he could provide a more balanced response at times. We enjoyed the tour and would recommend it.

Wonderful tour of Canberra yesterday with Neil. He was a wealth of information on Canberra, its history and the nation’s parliament. The Australian War Memorial and the last post was a highlight. Recommend the tour to any visitor to Canberra.

Very good tour included views of wild kangaroos, one with a joey looking out of the pouch. Saw the old and new parliament buildings inside and out. Toured both upper and lower house chambers with explanations on how Australia adapted elements of the U.S. Congress and the U.K. Parliament to create a two party system that allegedly works better than those models of government. Our guide Neal was knowledgeable and peppered the day with fun stories like how the Australian army lost its only internecine war which was against emus. He explained how Canberra was an untouched valley and the Burley Griffin married couple from Chicago won the planning competition to design the city and we toured a facility exhibiting this part of history. We attended a War Memorial ceremony where descendants of a private from WWI laid wreaths. It was solemn and touching. It was a very worthwhile day. My only suggestion would be to spend a half hour less at the war memorial and use that time for the latter part of the tour.

My Partner was unable to go to Canberra as she had a last minute hospital appointment. I am applying for a refund of the payment that was made for her.
