Designated as an official Historic District, the Faubourg Marigny was one of the first "Suburbs" of New Orleans, it is filled with colorful shotgun homes, quaint Creole cottages, and more commercial and industrial buildings make up the urban landscape in the Marigny/Bywater. Ornamental wrought iron decorates many of the homes in this area.

5.00You're one Hell of a fool if you choose any other private tour provider. There is no need to continue searching. Pray that Michaela is available. She is the best! Michaela intimately shared her multi-generational love and knowledge of New Orleans with our family. We felt like New Orleanians by the end of the day. 5.00I’ve been to New Orleans before but never saw it like this! Michaela showed us the French, Spanish and English architecture around uptown. The garden district homes are grand and amazing! But my favorite was the cute, little, colorful shotguns in the Irish Channel. She was a great guide! I will definitely try another tour with her again next time I visit New Orleans.
