Golden Dragon Water Puppet Theater
With the entrance ticket, you have the chance to relish in the fascinating art of a water puppet show, which is closely associated with the spiritual life of Vietnamese people, especially in the countryside. The show’s chosen stage is not big but it is the traditional stage with the surface of a water pool. The puppeteers present their clever skills in managing puppets by long bamboo rods and string mechanism under the surface. A traditional Vietnamese orchestra is an excellent music accompaniment. The puppets depict the story from the songs during the show, which reflects the peaceful life of the Vietnamese countryside, so it is not too difficult to understand it. Note: Please be present at the showtime 15 minutes before for check in and getting your seats

5.00I had such a fun experience at the Water Puppet Theatre! I bought my ticket the same day, showed up, sat down, and just enjoyed the show — it was that easy and completely worth it. The performance was unique, lively, and beautifully done. I actually enjoyed it so much that I went again in Hanoi! It was the same show but in a larger, more modern theater, which made it feel like a fresh experience all over again. Overall, it’s an excellent value for the price and a cultural highlight I’d definitely recommend to other travelers.

5.00This is a great way to spend an evening in Saigon. The show is just 45-50min, and it is just enough for being entertained especially if you don't understand the lyrics. The theater is comfortable and airconditioned.

5.00The water puppet show was definitely a cultural experience and very cute. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves even though we did not understand the language. We were able to make our own interpretations and come away with cultural enrichment and appreciation! If you use the app for the tickets, then you need to show the woman by the box office who will give you the paper tickets.
