The Independence Palace

2.00We booked the Ho Chi Minh City Private Half-Day Tour by U.S. Army Jeep on Viator and thought it was a great way to cover a lot of major sights in just a few hours. The ride itself was fun, and the guide kept things lively with stories and background on each stop. We visited places like the Independence Palace, the Central Post Office, Notre Dame Cathedral, the War Remnants Museum, and the Jade Emperor Pagoda. Seeing all of that from an open jeep made the experience feel even more memorable. The only part that didn’t land well came at the end. The tour included a visit to Ben Thanh Market, which is fine, but the guide tried to push us toward buying a fake Rolex. When we said no, he took us to a coffee stall that used high-pressure tactics to get us to buy something. That left a sour note on an otherwise enjoyable and informative tour.
Fantastic tour around the city. Lovely guide.

5.00Fantastic sight seeing and tour around the city. Our guide was fantastic and very knowledgeable. Great tips on where to eat as well. We did it on a Sunday as the traffic wasn’t as bad. Highly recommend

5.00Highly recommend this tour. Our tour guide Hao was the highlight! Very funny, friendly and knowledgeable. He went above and beyond to make sure we were having a good time. So accommodating to our big group of 11. Thank you Hao and our lovely drivers, I would definitely do this tour again!

5.00Today we went on the army jeep tour with our tour guide Hao, he was a wonderful tour guide and made the experience so enjoyable. He was very knowledgeable about every place we went to and took so many photos and videos of us. He made sure that we were doing okay with the heat and made sure we were hydrated with the water provided. Overall, the tour was great and Hao was the best tour guide for this experience.
Great time with mates at Saigon! Must do!

5.00We just finished our tour with HAO!!! Who was a great tour guide and he went above and beyond to ensure our group of 11 had a great time. His english and knowledge of Saigon was fantastic and most of all his recommendations and friendly nature made the tour that more enjoyable. The tour company provides free beer and water which was a BONUS WIN specially on a hot day. The jeeps made is a unique experience. I highly recommend HAO and the tour to all that visit HCM.

5.00Hai is extremely friendly, pleasant, and extremely knowledgeable. We really enjoyed our time with him. He became Family to us within that short time. Our family being of southeast Asian decent, we exchanged knowledge of cultural similarities between Vietnam and the Philippines. It was a very memorable experience. 5.00We had a great day with our driver Kai and excellent guide Hai. Hai was so much fun to be with and gave us so much history and information about the various stops we made and things we saw along the way. He was even willing to make a couple of changes to the itinerary based on our interests. It was great to visit the various sights but we also really enjoyed seeing the various areas of district 1 in Ho Chi Minh City from the open jeep. Great day all around and would recommend the tour and Hai.

5.00Hoa, our guide, was enthusiastic, passionate and extremely knowledgeable about all of the places we went on this Ho Chi Minh Tour in a Jeep. The history he was able to tell us and show us was amazing. Being in the back of the army Jeep was a great way to have unobstructed views as we drove around the city. There were more sites on the tour than I had anticipated, which was another positive. We were after a specific item to buy at the markets and Hoa was able to take us directly to the stall. With all of our purchases, each stallholder converted the price to AUD to make sure we understood the price & Hoa checked the Vietnamese Dong amount in the eftpos before we paid. He really made sure we were treated right. We saw some other tours during the day & their guides looked a bit bored & not really communicating with their tourists like Hoa did with us. If we had booked through any other company, we would not have enjoyed our day as much as we did. We want to come back and spend longer. The complimentary cold drinks in the Jeep were a lovely gesture too - very much needed!
