Riding the Jacobite Steam Train is a bucket-list experience for any traveller, but even more so for Harry Potter fans who know that they are in fact boarding the Hogwarts’ Express! Our passionate guides will immerse you in all the magic of Harry Potter, plus the real-life beauty and history of Scotland.

Children under 5 years old, including infants who do not require a seat, are not permitted to travel. We are unable to accommodate any child under the age of 5.
It is recommended to book transport to the departure point in advance. Please also allow extra time to get to the departure point for check-in. We advise you arrive at least 15 minutes before the tour departure to allow time to check-in for the tour. Unfortunately, we are unable to hold the bus or refund for any late arrivals.
Please note that the Jacobite Steam Train service may be subject to alterations and cancellations at short notice, outwith our control
Return times are approximate and subject to road conditions and weather. Please ensure you allocate sufficient time for any onward travel plans, allowing at least 3 hours after the scheduled return time for connections or activities.
It is not possible to upgrade your Standard steam train ticket to a First Class ticket
Stopping at Glenfinnan to view the Viaduct with the coach is subject to availability.
If downloading an audio guide, remember to bring your headset.

5.00Greame was wonderful. Loved his stories and history knowledge. The trip was great even though the train ride was cancelled. From what I have read we didn't miss anything spectacular by not riding the train. Weather was perfect.

4.00I write good only because there was a issue with the train and obviously that part of the tour was cancelled. But Sophie was stunning as a guide 🧡 Great day, great spots, amazing views. Loved it!

4.00I'm only giving the rating of a "4" because the Jacobite Train was canceled. It was one of the main reasons we traveled here from the U.S. and were looking forward to this for almost a year. This, however, was NOT in control of this tour company! It was the railroad itself. Then, as we started our trip our bus needed to be switched due to low tire pressure so we waited 50 minutes for a new bus to arrive. You'd think we were doomed, but I must say, we ended up having the best tour of our trip! So, overall, we rate our trip a "5" due to Ry, our tour guide and this tour company putting together a "tweaked" schedule that turned out to be phenomenal and allowed us to see more than what was originally planned. And.....still got us back on time! Thank you, Ry, and much luck to your future travels!

5.00The train was cancelled, but we were called up and made aware of it and they have been so cute. Our guide made our trip mega good. It was all worth it! Tom was the perfect guide for this trip :D
