There was nothing Harry Potter about this trip. No steam train. It only runs if it’s not too dry or not too damp. Very long bus ride for a disappointing train ride on an old rail car. Our driver Torquyl (sp?) was great but it’s a very long 12 hour day with not much to show for it.

Let me start by saying that.I've taken many tours from Viator, so I consider myself to be experienced. I was really looking forward to this tour. The good: Nice tour guide Great scenery Loch Ness is cool. The bad: Tour bus has very tight seating and are hot in the summer. Most stops are a useless waste of time and uninteresting. Hogwarts train is old and NOT air-conditioned. The windows are dirty and hard to take pictures through. We left at 930 which meant that all stops were crowded. If you leave from Edinburgh you get there earlier. I would recommend leaving from there. Unfortunately, knowing all of this now, I would have skipped this tour.

Emma was great! The tour had so many fun facts. Her knowledge made it so that a few of the sights were like extra surprises along with the expected stops. Emma had extra recommendations for the area even when we were done with the tour. We had a great time!

Donnie was a fantastic guide! Very knowledgeable and really funny and entertaining! We had train issues and the end part of our day had to be changed, but Donnie and the tour company did what they could to make the remainder of the tour enjoyable. Highly recommend!
