I’ve never felt like a tour was a complete waste of money, but that is how I feel for this tour. The fine print about the extra transfer fee for marble mountains from Hoi An was the beginning. The marble mountains were a disappointment, mainly because I feel like there is way more history to know about them that wasn’t explained. Therefore it just felt like a beautiful workout and not experiencing a religious and cultural site. Unexpectedly, we were taken to a stone gallery and encouraged to look around and purchase things. Coconut boats = theme park feeling (unfortunately not the traditional boating or fishing experience that I hoped for). The restaurant we ate at was not enjoyable, I had tasted one of the Hoi An staple dishes earlier that day and the version we were served on the tour was bland and incomparable. Lastly, I’m not sure what we were supposed to be shown in Old Town Hoi An. I’m staying in this area and have walked over the Japanese bridge multiple times for free, he did not explain what we were going to do there other than “sightsee.” Also, lantern boats are an extra charge. I really liked our tour guide Tâm, but the entire tour needs to be more informational, organized, and have a higher quality if they are going to charge so much.

As enjoyable as the Coconut Boats were, it's very crowded and you're taken to see people signing karaoke or performing boat tricks on the river.. while it was all fun and entertaining, you're made to offer up tips. I understand it's a poor country and they do this for the money and you don't need to give tips if you don't want to, it just spoils the experience somewhat as it's very forced upon you. Hoi An is beautiful..! but VERY crowded, it's lost it's authenticity somewhat since the last time I was there.. all the old historical roads are saturated with shops selling all sorts of things and you cannot move due to the amount of people there. While I would say this is a must do while you're here, the experience is worth while, just be prepared that it's lost a lot of what made it what it was and it's now a deathly tourist trap..!

We had a fantastic tour guide named Trinh who took us to Hoi Ancient Town, marble mountain and the coconut boat ride. She showed us many local spots and food choices and even recommended many to try on our own after. Fantastic tour and fantastic tour guide

Did not enjoy marble mountain. The time given to enjoy Hoi An was not enough, only 45 min. We left too early back to the city. Coconut forest was fun. So was Hoi Am, and I wish we had more time.
