Humantay Lakes is one of the most beautiful lakes in the region of Cusco. It stands out for its unique color, a mixed of green and blue. Visiting Humantay Lake used to be reserved just for those who enrolled in the Salkantay Trek, a hiking of 5 days. Nowadays, this wonderful lagoon can be explored in just one day.

Humantay Lake
We will pick you up from your hotel at 3:00 am to start our adventure. Then we will drive for around 5 hours in our private vehicle to the small town of Soraypampa. Here we will have breakfast before starting the hike to the stunning Humantay Lake. The Humantay Lake, also known as the Humantay Lagoon, is located at a height of 4200 meters above sea level. Its waters come from Salkantay mountain, a place considered sacred by the locals. Humantay stands out for its blue and green colors, which contrast with the rugged andean terrain. This lake creates a perfect background for taking photos. Travellers must walk for around 1.5 hours from Soraypampa before reaching Humantay lake. Once there, we will spend some time admiring the amazing andean landscape. Then, we will go back to Soraypampa. The return hike takes aroud 45 minutes. Once there, we will drive to Mollepata town to have lunch. Finally, we will go back to Cusco city. We will arrive at Cusco at around 5:00 pm.

5.00Walking in Cusco we were able to find the agency thanks to Google Maps and Mateo was very honest (because usually on the tours they are not sincere), we were able to get a good price as a couple and he showed us the photos of how the place looked without edits, the experience on the walk there was a way to go on horse but I recommend walking, you will not be disappointed with the views if you are landscapers like us. Very tasty buffet breakfast and lunch, always very respectful the guide Americo with us and we enjoyed a good time in the lagoon taking pictures and enjoying the snowy. By just a prince to S/180 for both

5.00The tour we did was 13 days. We visited Lima, Paracas, then we traveled to the city of Cusco, we made the Machupicchu route the best which is number two and Huayna Picchu, we traveled by train back and forth, we stayed in hot waters, then we made mountain seven colors, Humantay Lagoon, the seven lagoons of Ausangate Mountain, we visited Ollantaytambo, we made the sun route, Puno and we visited Lake Titikaka. We strolled through Cusco and ate delicious. Things I should highlight about this agency: IMPORTANT TRAVELERS! The organization so precise. -The quality of hotels, breakfasts, lunches of 10. We were two women and they treated us with great respect, making us feel protected. Full accompaniment and at all times. They don't keep you waiting for any route. Being in your hotels you have Top-rated places for tours. Mr. Mateo, a Guide worth having on your routes. -The taxi team, guides, very friendly hotel staff. And VIP treatment. IT'S WORTH EVERY DOLLAR YOU PAY. It was a dream this trip which I wished for many years ago and thanks to SAMEX TOURS, it was the most beautiful and rewarding. Two Veracruzan sisters, Mexicans.
