  I want to further clarify my experience on this tour. Mukesh and Aarti our driver and companion were very nice people and accommodating. It is not their fault that the company Mystical Mumbai did not deliver on what it describes as the content for this tour. The company should have a guide that can indeed provide the explanation, history, literature, etc. as indicated in their description. Before booking the tour I read previous reviews and it appears that they indeed had a guide that delivered this information and it was a reason I booked the tour. This was not the case with us. Nor did we visited all the synagogues and library. If these are closed and inaccessible now, then DO NOT offer the tour. Advertise it as just private driver to take you to two synagogues without any explanations and charge accordingly. I felt that the $150 we paid for the two of us was too high for what we got and that is why I said I should get money back. But Mukesh and Aarti should NOT be penalized and their salary withheld. It is not their fault that the company was not prepared to deliver on their promised description. I hope this clarifies my previous review, I do not wish Mukesh and Aarti any ill. The company needs to improve and deliver on their description or not offer the tour!

  From the organisation to the details, I cannot thank the team enough for the most incredible and inspirational tour. Hannah was absolutely brilliant and a true treasure, making sure we got to see the true Mumbai. We even got involved in a village wedding! Thank you for such a memorable experience with the Jewish insights too.

  We had such an incredible experience on our trip with Joshua. He is so knowledgeable, friendly, caring, and really understands the ins and outs of Indian culture and Jewish community there. If I could give him ten stars, I would!

  Joshua is genuinely the best person to go to India with. He is energetic, funny, and knows everybody and everything. He knows all the hole in the wall spots, and has connections all around India. He was a particularly great tour guide for Jewish India. I learned so much and found it really special to be learning from a member of the B’nai Israel community. I can’t recommend Joshua highly enough. Seriously.

  The experience with Joshua was wonderful from start to finish! Really, it is a guide that engages, is present and allows you to see India from different perspectives. The conversations ran deep and showed his knowledge and passion for the country in which he lives. He shared his experiences, stories and anecdotes making the experience unforgettable.   I’ve taken many tours in my life, specially Jewish heritage ones, and I can say with absolute certainty this has been the best one yet! It totally exceeded my expectations.   We are so lucky to have had Hanna as our guide. Jewish Mumbai came alive. She also took us to the outdoor laundry & we saw the lunchbox distribution. Hanna is a wonderful guide sharing interesting & relevant stories. We needed some information for our next stop to Udaipur and Hanna didn’t hesitate to help. She went above & beyond and truly is wonderful.
