Explore the Geisha districts after dark, hear the tales of what actually went on in this district during the Edo period. Our professionally guided tour will take you through the 2 most beautiful Geisha districts of Kanazawa and then we'll sit down with fellow travellers to a full course traditional meal and drinks(included in tour price).
The tour duration is 2.5 hours. You will get the chance to explore the cultural background of these unique districts and get to sample some of the local dishes available in this area. Our night tour groups are small(usually 3 - 8 people) and include a dedicated professional guide to explain the locations and the dishes.

5.00We did an evening tour of the geisha area of Kanazawa with Ian. It was a lovely relaxed tour - lots of information and conversation. The meal was a very pleasant experience - lots of tips about the food and how to eat it and lots of chat. A most enjoyable tour. Thank you Ian. Top rated!

5.00Saya was the perfect guide as she is knowledgeable, interested and attentive. She gave us an insight into the history and culture of Kanazawa and then we ate in a local restaurant which we would never have found by ourselves. The restaurant staff were very welcoming as well and the found was delicious. We highly recommend this tour - particularly in the early part of your visit to Kanazawa so that you get a sense of the city.

5.00Great idea to have a tour through the geisha district of Kanazawa. Ian gave us all sorts of details and history we wouldn’t have known if we were just walking around. Fun way to see a part of this wonderful town, even in inclement weather :-). Highly recommended!

5.00Wonderful experience, thank you Saya! Very informative, and fun. So many insights that would otherwise have been missed or not understood. Our 14 year old daughter also had a great time in the tour. Dinner was delicious and fun. This was the highlight of our visit to Kanazawa!

5.00Saya, our guide through the the old districts of Kanazawa, was wonderful and explained the history and culture of the city’s history on the tour very well! But more than that, she was personable, kind and engaging. The great food at the end was a bonus. I definitely recommend the tour.

5.00Saya was an AMAZING tour guide! Friendly and knowledgeable, she explained to us the fascinating history of the old Geisha tea house district and then took us a delicious udon meal at a wonderful restaurant at the end of the night. If you like history and good food, then this tour is for you. Highly recommended for a great night in Kanazawa!
