  Perhaps a 2-day trip with an overnight in Kuranda might be an option. We felt rushed. A lovely train ride began the day and a spectacular tram ride finished it.

  I love this trip !! The train, the gondola, the market, the view, Oh, and thank you for the staff at the station who change my sitting, so that i can get a better seat with better view, i'm grateful for that !!

  The Gondola ride up to Kuranda was scenic and fun. I chose to add on a visit to Koala Gardens in Kuranda and loved it. Crowds were small and you can get close to animals, and even hold a Koala. The train was nice but did not add much to the sights. A relaxing slow ride back.

  Kuranda is a lovely little town outside of Cairns. Taking the cable car up and the train back was so much fun. Being able to travel above the rain forest is incredible and the town is wonderful. So happy we booked with Down Under they made it very easy.

  This trip was amazing but the agent used by Viator - Down Under Tours - were not! Communication was almost non existent. After confirming my booking I had to email to ask the time of my cable car ride, email again to confirm time of return train trip. No documents were issued & although I was told to collect at booking office, this was not the case, as they should have been emailed to me in advance. Fortunately a Down Under rep was there & printed them for me, but it was unnecessarily stressful. I would definitely recommend this trip but would advise booking direct with Skyrail, whose staff were really helpful & who offer the same trip at a much reduced price!
