  This was a great tour, our tour guide Kjarpan Kalman was excellent and very informative. The pick up at the cruise terminal was on time and Kjarpan was very concious of the all aboard time and asked that we all kept to the timings. The Godafoss waterfall was spectacular as was the scenery going around Lake Myvatn. The psuedo craters were interesting and then Kjarpan walked us around the Lava formations and explained how they were formed etc. Short stop to have a sandwich and drink break which was very welcome and close to the Tectonic plates. We were taken to see the Hverir volcanic region of boiling mud pots. In all, a great tour and it was fantastic to see the ever changing spectacular scenery of Iceland. I think we had just long enough stops at all the locations. I would definately recommend this tour, there is some walking involved but it is not srenuous.

  Need face settings to keep the ridiculously imsane amount of flies from your face!!!! There is no mention of this and its extremely annoying, bothersome that you cant fully appreciate.

  To begin, this is a review of the Godafoss and Forest Lagoon. Trip advisor did not give this tour as an option to review. The Goddafoss and Forest Lagoon excursion was magical. I strongly recommend it to anyone stopping in Akureyri. Our guide Kirsten was extremely knowledgeable, very charismatic, and the perfect guide. The falls speak for themselves and should not be missed and the Forest Lagoon geothermal pools were very nice and relaxing. Our driver was Thrien (I’m sure I’m not spelling that correctly) was great, added a lot of Icelandic facts in the trip and took a different more scenic route through the fjords that was spectacular. I highly recommend this travel company and if you can get Kristen and Thrien (sp) you are very fortunate.

  Kjartan and Klaman were fantastic tour guides! They were punctual, informative, and spoke English very well. This was a well guided tour, at every stop we were given ample time to explore and take pictures. There were clear meeting areas and times relayed to us. We visited three completely different places and felt like we could’nt have had a better taste of Iceland. My only “complaint”, if you will, is the flies around Lake Myvatn. Several folks bought nets from the gift shop but it would have been nice for them to be supplied to us on the bus. Every stop had restrooms as well which is a nice thing to have. Lunch and a bottle of water were provided. I am very pleased with this tour and highly recommend it.

  Cruise Ship alternative - Hit all the spots comfortably and efficiently for half the price. Six hour tour included lunch. A shoutout to our guide, Kjartam, and bus driver, Kalmin, for an informative and fun experience. Well done!

  This is the first time I have used VIATOR for excursions, I am satisfied with everything; the only downside is that, not speaking English, I would have appreciated at least an audio that allowed for translation. Excellent service and compliments to the guide Mr. Kjartan, very kind and helpful.
