  Haha ( the guide) was helpful with cancelling our trip due to unforseen circumstances. We did also take the bus to Cat Ba with them and that went very smoothly with no issues. Comfortable bus also.

• Not children friendly. Rude and racist crew on board.

  This was the second time I am traveling with serenity Cruize. Last time was with friends and again this time with family. Unfortunately we had very bad experience from the crew on board. 1. The crew staff on board was really rude towards us showing discrimination. 2. We were travelling with a 3 months old and 2, 5years old children. They dint even provide hot water for the baby when we requested. 3. The staff was very rude and they shouted towards our children multiple times. The cheff with white apron was always mumering somethings in rude way in there language all the time when children are around. I personally had to intervene them shouting at children and asked them to be gentle. 4. The tour company now blames everything on children, how they were at the Cruize and how children were running through the boat.. and blames them for the bad and rude behaviour of the crew from the beginning to end which is unprofessional. 5.After i reviewed rating in trip advisor, they even offered 100 USD for removing the review which i have proof with me.. They even posted in tripadvisor saying they have video of our children dipping fingers in sause bowl and they are ready to share the video to anybody for that they provided there phone number also. And i think sharing our childrens video in any platform to unknown person will be an act of child rights abuse. 6. If our children had done any such actions, you tour company can definitely charge us for any difficulty caused by us. Rather than behaving rude and racist throughout the Cruize.. The Cruize was not at all children friendly and i regret going cruize with this company with my family. They spoiled our entire good experience of vietnam country just with this cruize..

  Absolutely amazing! Would highly recommend. The boat itself is perfect and it is not rushed if you do it in a day. You get to spend the perfect amount of time at each place. The staff are some of the friendliest people I’ve met. The views are stunning! If you’re thinking of doing a day trip with Cat Ba Express, do it!

From the flawless organization to the awe-inspiring vistas and the attentive crew, this journey was the absolute highlight of my time in Vietnam, weaving a spell of pure magic. Seamless Booking and Logistics The entire experience unfolded with impeccable ease. The booking process was straightforward, and the communication was clear, ensuring a smooth transition from land to sea. The modern, comfortable shuttle from Hanoi delivered us directly to the harbor, a flawless choreography of logistics that prepared us for the majestic realm awaiting our arrival. The Itinerary: A Divine Blend of Wonder and Adventure The route was an expertly guided path through paradise, showcasing the bay's most sublime beauty. Unlike the crowded main waterways, our elegant boat navigated through hidden channels, weaving between ancient, emerald-clad towers of limestone, the silent guardians of a forgotten sea. We were granted a divine feeling of exclusivity, as if we were the first explorers to witness this aqueous sanctuary. Kayaking Adventure in Secret Grottos: This was a profound, ethereal moment. We slipped into the liquid jade of the sea, which shimmered under the tropical sun, gliding into secret grottos. The silence was broken only by the dip of our paddles as we navigated beneath cathedral-like archways, where the water whispered ancient secrets against the rock. The Embrace of the Crystalline Sea: We later anchored in a truly pristine cove, offering the opportunity to immerse ourselves in the crystalline sea. He didn't just point out landmarks; he shared the local stories and the geology with such genuine passion. More than that, he anticipated our needs—offering cold towels at just the right moment, managing the group with easy humor, and taking time to chat one-on-one with guests. His service was truly five-star; he made sure every single person felt cared for and deeply connected to the place.

  Great tour, very attentive service and good food . Happy (the tour guide) was amazing. Friendly and very knowledgeable with a great personality. He made the tour a great deal of fun.

  The day cruise to Lan Ha Bay was an outstanding experience. The fresh seafood served on board was plentiful and of high quality, with a generous spread that comfortably catered to all 58 guests. The vessel ‘Serenity Grandeur’ is newly launched and features modern equipment, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable journey. The trip was well-organized, and even with the challenge of embarking onto smaller boats multiple times before reaching the main vessel, everything ran smoothly and well-managed. The cruise staff were attentive, making sure everyone was well taken care of throughout the day. The panoramic views from the deck were breathtaking, and the boat is clean, updated amenities contributed to the overall enjoyment. We were so lucky with our tour guide, Tuna. Not only was he incredibly responsible, consistently reminding us about our safety and belongings, but he was also very thoughtful. His dinner recommendations led us to a fantastic meal that was both tasty and perfectly suited to our preferences.

  Loved the cruise! The service was great, we enjoyed the food, and the views were stunning. Not sure why others say the bay is too crowded. You do see a lot of ships throughout the journey but it's not overwhelming and in every photo and frame. I'm fact, it's nice seeing other boats around and they are well spaced out. Tony was a great guide and gave a lot of attention to each guest. The young gentleman who was guiding us through pick up was also amazing

  We had a great time on the boat! Everything was well organized, we enjoyed the kayaking time through cool caves, as well as the swimming and chilling time. Our guide Happy was a gem: he had great energy, he was really friendly and shared interesting facts about the fishing village and what it’s like to live in Catba. Thanks again, Happy! The lunch was good and filling. Highly recommended! :-)

  I booked the Hanoi–Cat Ba Cruise Tour with this company. The transfer from Hanoi to Cat Ba was smooth and on time—no issues there. The cruise, however, was underwhelming. The boat felt old and cramped. Our group of seven was seated at one table, and food was served per table rather than per person. The quantity appeared to be the same as what smaller groups received—for example, a single plate of fried rice for all seven of us (the same portion we saw for tables of 3–4). When we raised this, staff initially resisted; about 10-15 minutes later they brought one more plate of rice, but by then most other dishes were gone. Some fruits arrived afterward, yet the overall meal was clearly insufficient. I understand it’s a set menu, but that shouldn’t mean inadequate portions. Price-wise, this isn’t the cheapest option. We saw Cat Ba–only tours around $28 with good ratings; this one was about $37 (we paid $50 per person including Hanoi pickup and Cat Ba drop-off). Given the cost, the experience didn’t feel worth it. We chose a different transport provider for our return from Cat Ba to Hanoi Airport.
