Get a convenient pickup service by songtaew (a passenger vehicle in Thailand) from your hotel on Koh Lanta along the main road between Saladan and Kantiang Bay. Start the course with a welcome drink and get useful cooking instructions from the Thai chef with many years of experience. Learn how to cook healthy and delicious Thai food with a practical hands-on approach to surprise your family and friends at home as a gourmet souvenir from Thailand. Two classes per day are held in a spacious teak-wood house just inland in the south of Phra Ae Beach (also known as Long Beach), and many of the vegetables and spices are sourced from an on-site organic garden. Midday and evening classes last for 4 hours. The group will collaboratively choose 4 dishes from the available selections which change for each course. The menus offer a good mix of salads, soups, stir fries, noodle dishes and curries made from hand-made pastes, plus enjoy a feast of your own making at the end of the class! All dishes can be made vegetarian per request, please let us know upon booking.

The Instructor was kind and informative. She showed us, and explained to us the ingredients to what we were going to create. She then cooked up the dish we were going to make for us to try before we cooked it. I liked how we cut up/prepped all the dishes we were making all at once in seperate baskets. At times, it was challenging to hear her.

An excellent afternoon spent in the company of Prim. A group of 8 decide which meals you want to cook from a list (total of 4) and you get to choose, chicken, prawn or vegetables. Easy to understand instructions with a hint of comedy. The food was delicious. We chose soup, chicken baskets, massaman curry and mango sticky rice. I was full afterwards!! Excellent value for money and a must do!

Very well equipped and organised cookery school. Our teacher was perfect introducing our small group to all the ingredients used and the culture of Thai cuisine. Fun, interesting and entertaining we cooked 4 dishes in total out of a selection of 10; a pad Thai, a Penang curry, a stir fry and a Thai beef salad. Chicken, shrimp and vegetable were available for all options. The fact that as a non cooker I produced a restaurant standard chicken Penang curry by the end was remarkable! Excellent experience and 10 out of 10.

I had a very good and positive experience! I always loved Thai food and as a professional cook/chef I wanted to have a deeper dive on the subject. The amazing Chef/teacher educated our group with knowledge of ingredients and methods to achieve that unique flavour and aroma of Thai cuisine. It was simple, very interesting and fun! The lesson was on a very beautifull and relaxed place. I highly recomend it!

I 100% recommend this!! It was so chilled, relaxing, informative, educational and such good fun!! Do it!! It was exactly how I hoped it would be! And the food we cooked was amazing!!

We have actually done this cooking course twice now. We enjoyed the food and experience so much we wanted to do it again, so booked on when we came back to the island. Once again we had a great time and hope to cook the meals we have learnt once back home.
