An adventure safari packed with breathtaking scenery, thrilling 4WD action whilst discovering LOTR filming locations. Visit the filming locations of Minas Tirith, Misty Mountains, the Pillars of the Kings (Argonath), Gladden Fields, the Ford of Bruinen and more. Travel an historic gold mining road, following the Arrow River, stop for an opportunity to try your hand at gold panning. Take in the spectacular panoramic views over the Wakatipu Basin.

Travelling part way up Queenstown hill you get a birds eye view onto Lake Wakatipu and Deer Park Heights, which was used for the refugees of Rohan and the Battle of the Wargs scenes.
Kawarau River
Head to the Kawarau Gorge where the filming took place for the Argonath, or Pillars of the Kings.

5.00We had such a great time. Matt, our guide, was great and shared many stories and showed us great spots. We saw many interesting sports and enjoyed the scenery very much, such a fun way to spend an afternoon in and around Queenstown.

5.00Amazing trip you get to see areas you wouldn't normally. Our tour guide Phoebe made everyone feel welcome and was very knowledgeable on the film scenes and the history of the area. We would highly recommend these tours.

5.00A brilliant tour, fab driver in Nicholas who showed us how to ford a river & pan fir hold let alone show us loads of places that were used for the films, totally recommend it even though I holes seemed a little disappointed that he didn’t find gold when he was showing us how to do it

5.00Wow - what a way to see some of the most beautiful parts of NZ. Whether or not a LOTR fan... You will absolutely love and appreciate this tour. Our guide Justin was a superstar... knowledgeable, friendly, funny and an excellent tour guide host (what he doesn't know about the Queenstown and Arrowtown region is not worth knowing). Safe, exciting, and sometimes edge-of-the-seat, with incredible views that always keep the visitor in mind.

5.00This was one of the best tours we've ever been on! Nick was absolutely amazing his knowledge of everything from The Lord of the Rings to the local nature was truly impressive. I'm naturally afraid of heights, but he made me feel safe and comfortable the entire time and that’s not something I say lightly, as I don’t give my trust easily when it comes to heights. I highly recommend this tour during your visit it's a five-star experience.
