The Navajo name for Lower Antelope Canyon is Hasdeztwazi or “Spiral Rock Arches.” This incredible canyon has been created over many thousands of years by the relentless forces of water and wind, slowly carving and sculpting the sandstone into forms, textures, and shapes which we observe today.
The views in Lower Antelope Canyon change constantly as the sun moves across the sky, filtering lights softly across the stone walls. These ever-moving sun angles bounce light back and forth across the narrow canyon’s walls, creating a dazzling display of color, light, and shadow.

Lower Antelope Canyon
A 1 hour guided tour through Lower Antelope Canyon. Learn about the geology, history and the culture of the Navajo people that live around the canyon. Don't forget to bring a camera you will be taking a lot of photos! Antelope canyon is famous for its wave-like structure and the light beams that shine directly down into the openings of the canyon, creating a super natural appearance. Many travellers and photographers have been attracted here, regard it as a place where dreams come true. Different from the flat ground of Upper Antelope Canyon, Lower Antelope Canyon requires visitors to climb upside and down through staircases and ladders. It feels like you are entering a new planet, starting a magical adventure.

5.00Crowded, but the views are worth it! Easy walk through the canyon , some narrow/steep steps to get down but easy as long as long as you have a normal amount of mobility.

5.00Our guide Ryan was wonderful. The views were stunning and it was impossible to take bad photos. It was a bit windy at times so be prepared to get sand in your face. The stairs were fun to climb, even my 73 yr old mother was able to handle it.

5.00The canyon is an amazing experience in a spot thats so easy to miss but so unique! I had a 2:30 tour with about a dozen other people, the canyon is fascinating at every turn. Our tour guide pointed out all of the iconic photos pots and took lots of good shots for everyone.

5.00Wonderful experience with Dixies Lower Antelope Canyon tour. The price was good, and make reservations easy. Our Navajo guide Orien answered all our questions. He explained all the plants, and history of Antelope Canyon. He helped guide us through the many canyons. He pointed out many different shapes in the rock walls. He helped us to take AMAZING photos. 100% recommend Dixies and seeing Antelope Canyon.
