Machame Route now vies with – and indeed over the last few years has overtaken – the Marangu Route as the most popular trail. Machame is also the regarded by many guides as the most enjoyable, though it is longer and, according to most, more arduous. Despite this, the success rate on the Machame Route is higher than on the Marangu Route, possibly because the Machame is a day longer at six days and five nights (assuming you take the Barafu Route to the summit) which gives trekkers more time to acclimatize. An extra acclimatization day can – and usually is -taken in the Karanga Valley. The Machame Route also gives you the option of taking the Western Breach / Arrow Glacier Route to the summit.

5.00We had an unforgettable Kilimanjaro climb with Migration Venture! Our experienced guides, Goodluck and Moses, led us safely to the summit with incredible knowledge, patience, and encouragement. The food, prepared by our cook Roger, was not only delicious but also nutritious—each day brought a surprising variety of meals that kept us energized. After researching multiple companies, we found Migration Venture to offer outstanding value for money, and they truly exceeded our expectations. While the hotel in Moshi was fairly average and accepting credit cards would have been a convenient option, these were minor details compared to the overall fantastic experience. We highly recommend Migration Venture to anyone looking for a well-organized, professional, and memorable Kilimanjaro expedition!

5.00There were so many operators from Kilimanjaro to choose from and we did not regret our choice - Migration Venture Africa. Their support was exceptional as the four of them safely guided us to the summit of Kilimanjaro and back to Moshi, where it all began. Epa was Godlove’s assisted main guide during the trek. They were amazing; so competent and concerned for our well-being. They were constantly monitoring our health to make sure we could continue. Juma was an excellent cook and prepared amazing dishes that we enjoyed despite our suppressed appetites. We are pleased with the support given to this unique opportunity. Thank you all!

This is already the second time and each time the number of big cats is unbelievable. Always in the right place at the right time for a photographer is pure happiness.
