Mammoth Cave self-guided tours allow visitors to explore by themselves, while listening to an informative 'audio tour' available in English, French, German, Malay, or Mandarin. This is the easiest of the caves to tour, with the first chamber accessible by wheelchair. Entering the cave through native bushland along a gently sloping boardwalk, visitors can explore the natural time capsule at their own pace. The cave once contained over 10,000 fossils, many of which were the remains of long-extinct giant animals known as Australian Megafauna. Visitors can even view a 50,000-year-old 'zygomaturus' jawbone embedded in the cave wall. After exploring the cave, visitors can take an optional bushwalk back to the guide's station and enjoy the magnificent marri and karri forest surrounding the cave.

We loved the self guided tour we took our time and it helped the kids be more focused because part of the excitement was finding the next number and it was to dark to run ahead.

Ok for my husband who can't walk a great distance, but not as spectacular as other caves that are actively building stalactites and stalagmites. Still amazing stuff.

This cave was mindblowing. loved it and loved the lil bush walk loop back to the visitor centre after exiting the cave. I liked that the audio tour was interactive and you could make the experience a little more your own.
