Our driver pickup you at 4:40pm from your hotel in Sandakan. Head to Pangkalan B&B. Before proceeding for the cruise, you will having simple Tea at our B&B. After that, we will bring you to enjoy Local Village Games. One of the reasons we create this game it's to share the memories with our guest together with the village kids. After that, we will walk around the village nearby to experience the way of village people life and share the nature of mangrove information and give you the experience to throw Crab Trap and on the way back to jetty we will collect it. By 1800 hrs continue our cruise to Pamaguan Island to enjoy our Sunset view from the island (if weather permitted). Spend 15-20 minutes at island and after that cruise back to river to search a Fireflies along the Mangrove tree nearby the riverbank. Back to B&B for dinner. After dinner driver drop off you at your hotel in Sandakan with sweet memories

5.00Really nice tour. It was run from a small village where everyone we met was super nice. Mangrove tour was great, saw proboscis monkeys on route to the sunset island. The sunset was fantastic. Then after dark we got back on the boat looking for fireflies, we weren't disappointed !

5.00We met Azrien - initially our taxi driver, now friend, by chance and he recommended this trip and it was amazing. If you want a chilled evening to catch the sunset with dinner sorted after, this is the tour to pick. Transport is sorted as well just whatsapp Azrien ( +60 13‑797 9018) and he’ll easily sort it out for you with a special price. We went as a group of four and it was smooth sailing. Managed to see proboscis monkeys, local macaques and even eagles!! The tour guide was also funny and you can’t go wrong with the local dinner.

5.00Mangrove cruise was really nice. it was nice to be on the river in the dark. we actually got to see the fireflies this time. we tried to see them in Kuala Selangor but we saw nothing. the food was very nice. Abdul Qayyum + 60 11-1669 5114 booked everything for us. he's a nice fella and great company

5.00We had an amazing experience! Our group was really friendly and chatty which always helps. The guides have great English and are funny as well as knowledgeable. We saw two groups and proboscis monkeys aswell as macaques, fireflies and a salt water crocodile! 5.00Abdul was fantastic! He picked us up and provided us with lots of knowledge and information. We were lucky to see proboscis monkeys and a massive salt water crocodile too, along with the mesmerising fireflies! Would highly recommend! :) His WhatsApp number is 60-11-1669-5114.

5.00Amazing experience, really enjoyed it! Got to see crocs, the fireflies & other great wildlife. The families are so nice and the homecooked meal was amazing. I called Abdul - +60 11-1669 5114 He got me booked in as a solo traveler and transported me there and back. He is very kind & professional. Highly recommend 🙂

5.00Book with Abdul! - +60 11-1669 5114 Found Abdul’s number on trip advisor and messaged him on WhatsApp, originally planned to try to visit the Gomantong Caves, but he informed us it was quite far so we instead asked if the Firefly Cruise was available and he was able to book it for us on exactly the day we needed. Picked us up from our hotel, we had tea and cakes before the cruise where we managed to see some probiscis monkeys, macaques and a 2m crocodile only a few metres from our boat which was incredible! We stopped on a small beach for sunset and we’re shown a group of hermit crabs which was very cool - all these extra animals were an added bonus we didn’t expect. Then as it got dark we saw the fireflies, we must’ve seen at least 4 trees full of them, and they were amazing to see. Another bonus - we managed to see some glowing plankton in the water next to our boat. We then returned to the dock and ate a delicious curry, home cooked by one of the local people in the village next to the river. Abdul was so lovely and everyone else who came on the tour were too, Abdul even arranged for our airport transfer the next day! A pleasure to meet him and nice to take a trip that was more locally run, rather than through a bigger company.
