Our Manta Policy: Manta Rays are wild animals and Snorkel Big Island cannot guarantee their presence. If a manta ray is not seen on your night out with us you may try again on a different night, or on your next visit. Guests who purchased tickets directly through snorkelbigisland.com website at our full online booking price $137 may come back out again for free. Please keep in mind that seats may be extremely limited during certain times of the year. We usually are very successful in finding mantas for you; however, if they decide to take the night off the costs involved with setting up the charter will not allow us to offer you a refund. We appreciate your business and understanding of this policy.

Snorkel with the famous Manta Rays with Big Islands most experienced captains and tour guides. Please confirm your check in time directly with tour provider. Please call tour provider to confirm your reservation has been received correctly. Check in time can be up to 40 and no less than 15 minutes prior to tour time. Departing from Honokohau Harbor a 15-20 minute boat ride gets you to either Garden Eel Cove (northern manta site "Manta Heaven") or further south down to Keauhou "Manta Village". Slide in and relax hanging onto our custom-made light board to witness these huge, acrobatic, gentle giants feed on tiny pieces of plankton. Our experienced guide helps get everyone in the best possible viewing position to give guests an up close and personal encounter all while keeping everyone safe and comfortable. Be sure to look up checking out the stars and the city lights during the ride back. A night filled with magnificent mantas and fun memories is sure to be remembered.

5.00This was a fun trip. The crew were really nice and very helpful. We had some mobility accommodations and they were quick to work on a resolution so we all could enjoy the trip. The boat was nice, not over crowded and the equipment was in clean and good condition. They explained things well during the 30 min trip out to the snorkeling grounds. Unfortunately, there were no rays for us to see that night due to little to no plankton in the water. They offered us another chance to go out, but we were already booked up for the rest of the week. Would definitely go with them again.

1.00Maybe consider a different provider other than Snorkel Big Island. SBI didn’t seemed equipped to handle the elements compared to the 15 other ships that were able to anchor for the snorkeling. We weren’t able to so had to turn back. No snorkeling for us. Captain was a tad insensitive and rude about it

4.00On the first night, there was no sight of Manta Rays. They offered me a second tour. I was happy to see Manta Rays. The Captain and the assistants were very good. They sent clear instructions with picture on how to get to the pickup location.

5.00Small friendly group, captain and guide were great, very professional, knowledgeable, caring of customers. Really the highlight of our vacation and incredible experience. I will book with these guys every trip we have to the big island. Also enjoyed the young woman on our boat that couldn’t stop her delightful squeal through her snorkel every time the mantra rays swam directly beneath us, inches away. Nothing to fear , just beautiful creatures.

5.00This was very cool. Nice trip om the water to by the airport to see several Rays, we went to the 8 pm. Couple notes: Take drammine if you get sea sick at all and accept the wetsuit they offer. Half our party did and half are party didn't, 30 minutes in the wind and waves and those who didn't were chilled. The water was choppy and it pulled us like a rag doll, arms were sore the next day. I imagine if you have a bad shoulder or elbow this might not feel so great.

1.00I booked and showed up at my day and time an I waited and waited and nobody else came. I tried calling and texting with no response. Wasted a lot of time of money on uber and on an experience I never got to have. Very sad experience.

5.00It was really really great. My wife is a non-Samar and my daughter is a 13 year-old who is a swimmer but first time having such experience. The crew was fantastic and extremely accommodating, especially John and the 18 year-old Elijah I would highly recommend them as in the middle of the ocean you need trustworthy folks around
