One of the most popular activities on the Martha Brae is river rafting. At the Martha Brae Rafting Village, guests board a bamboo raft and enjoy a leisurely, relaxing, 60 min. float down the river. Each raft is steered by a skilled captain who will point out local flora and fauna along the way. The riverbanks are also dotted with local vendors selling crafts and souvenirs.

The Martha Brae River in Trelawny offers a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of the typical island hotspots. With its calm waters and lush surroundings, Martha Brae is a relaxing retreat for the entire family. A short drive from Montego Bay, the Martha Brae River has a rich history dating back to the colonial era. It is said to have been named after a legendary Taino woman who cursed the river, causing it to run backwards. Despite the folklore, the river flows smoothly and peacefully, attracting visitors from all over the world.

Exploring Martha Brea River is one of Jamaica's popular rafting tours mainly because of the legend of the Martha Brae River, located in Falmouth, Trelawney approximately a 30-minute drive from Montego Bay. Martha Brae River is there for you to enjoy a wonderful rafting tour to commune with nature and some exciting folklore to entertain you. Enjoy a slow, peaceful 60min ride on a bamboo raft down the calm slow-moving river under the shades of the many huge trees on its banks which provides shades and cool gentle wind to keep you cool along the riverbanks. The price of Scotchie's Restuarant is incorporated into the price for guests staying in Montego Bay area hotels or accommodations only. The option for food is NOT INCLUDED for the "transportation only option" for Falmouth area hotels

    Highly recommend.. this tour was very beautiful. The scenery made for beautiful photographs and well worth the long bamboo ride down the river for 75min. This was a family trip and we all enjoyed ourselves.. our driver was great and very informative. Afterwards the family stopped at the restaurant as it was all included.. this was definitely a great package.

    Where do I began, absolutely serene.. if you’re looking for relaxation with stunning scenery this is it.. beautiful stroll down the river for about an hour.. well worth the price. Our Driver was great. On time, professional and punctual. The best part was the food was included in our way back to the resort. Authentic Jamaican food.. loved it from start to finish. Definitely recommend. Lots of gorgeous pics
