Explore the natural wonders of Molokini Crater, a volcanic islet 3 miles (4.8 km) off the coast of Maui, on this snorkeling tour from Maalaea. Surrounded by clear tropical waters, this extinct cone is home to many species of marine life, such as fish, sea urchins, sharks, manta rays, and coral. Molokini is a marine preserve, meaning nothing can be disturbed, keeping the island and underwater environment pristine. You'll also explore Turtle Town, and admire native birds. Two water slides, a glass bottom viewing room, and a "leap of faith" are also available if you don't want to snorkel or finish early. Breakfast, lunch, snacks, soda, and juice are included.

Wheelchair accessible. Motorized wheelchairs and electric scooters are not able to be accommodated. Manual wheelchairs are allowed up to a maximum width of 28". Personal weight restriction of approximately 280 pounds due to the ramp configuration and ability of crew to assist in boarding the wheelchair with the occupant.

A tour with the Calypso is one of the most fun on Maui! After everyone is settled in, it’s off to the most popular underwater destination in Maui for some Molokini snorkeling! While you are enjoying the feel of the ocean wind in your hair. Molokini Crater is located between the islands of Maui and Kaho’olawe. This beautiful site is not only home to several fish species, but many species of birds, as well! The crater is a designated Marine Life Conservation District and bird preserve, so no fishing or climbing on the crater is allowed, but wearing flippers and a mask to watch the fish is perfectly wonderful. After your Molokini snorkeling, Calypso will whisk you to Turtle Town – a second snorkeling spot. Off the south side of Maui, Turtle Town is home to several large sea turtles as well as dynamic reef fish.

5.00Great crew, explained everything that we needed and why. Very efficient. Delicious breakfast. Snacks and also lunch. Teenage kids ate with no complaints. Very helpful with the snorkeling in and out of the boat just all around a good experience for all. We also got to see whale on our snorkeling tour and the captain explained why the whales did what they did so that was very helpful good information.

5.00We went on the Sunset Dinner Cruise not the snorkeling trip. It was fabulous and fantastic! The crew was delightful. The dinner was good and the evening was unforgettable, beautiful! I thank my lucky stars that the ticket lady on the Maui-Lanai ferry was so unpleasant because I never would have gotten to experience the Calypso dinner cruise. Don’t miss this one! Pass on the ferry and go for the cruise at slip 76.

5.00Felt very well looked after by the crew, they were very kind and the activities were really fun. The food and drinks were good, and the experience was amazing and beat my expectations. Some time was spent whale watching after snorkeling, which was an unexpected part of the trip. Shout out to crew member Eddy for taking care of us and then rest of the people on the third floor, he was very tentative and kind.

5.00I had an amazing time! The crew was friendly and helpful. The captain was watching out for everyone’s safety and smoothly changed plans with the change in the weather. We even spent some time whale watching. The food was excellent and the mai tai’s were a great way to finish the day!

4.00Food was good, crew was fantastic, the boat was beautiful and we saw a lot of playoffs because it was whale season. The snorkeling equipment was good. However, there was nothing to see snorkeling. Coral is pretty much all dead and covered with free masks some small fish and a turtle. I would’ve rated this trip as a five if there’d been anything to see at all while snorkeling. This isn’t the boat’s fault all of them would’ve had the same experience I’m sure. Just not a good place to go snorkeling I guess because there was lots of boats out there so they’re all going to the same place.

5.00Everyone on the boat was fantastic! From making sure we got on the boat safely to being outfitted into the proper gear, and even taking care of my food allergy (gluten).... these guys were the best! Absolutely recommend!
