Explore the natural wonders of Molokini Crater, a volcanic islet 3 miles (4.8 km) off the coast of Maui, on this snorkeling tour from Maalaea. Surrounded by clear tropical waters, this extinct cone is home to many species of marine life, such as fish, sea urchins, sharks, manta rays, and coral. Molokini is a marine preserve, meaning nothing can be disturbed, keeping the island and underwater environment pristine. You'll also explore Turtle Town, and admire native birds. Two water slides, a glass bottom viewing room, and a "leap of faith" are also available if you don't want to snorkel or finish early. Breakfast, lunch, snacks, soda, and juice are included.

Wheelchair accessible. Motorized wheelchairs and electric scooters are not able to be accommodated. Manual wheelchairs are allowed up to a maximum width of 28". Personal weight restriction of approximately 280 pounds due to the ramp configuration and ability of crew to assist in boarding the wheelchair with the occupant.

A tour with the Calypso is one of the most fun on Maui! Molokini Crater is located between the islands of Maui and Kaho’olawe. This beautiful site is not only home to several fish species, but many species of birds, as well! The crater is a designated Marine Life Conservation District and bird preserve, so no fishing or climbing on the crater is allowed, but wearing flippers and a mask to watch the fish is perfectly wonderful. After your Molokini snorkeling, Calypso will whisk you to Turtle Town – a second snorkeling spot. Off the south side of Maui, Turtle Town is home to several large sea turtles as well as dynamic reef fish.

2.00If you are looking for a party boat or have kids you should book this excursion. If you are looking to snorkel you should avoid it. The boat has good food, slides, drinks, and fun but they routinely don’t take you to the crater to Snorkel. The alternate location we were taken to had three turtles, but hardly anything else to look at. This may be our only trip to Maui and to miss the crater was a huge disappointment. I saw other boats there while ours decided not to go. If you really want to go to the crater book elsewhere

5.00We started with a double rainbow! Even with it being a rainy day, we were still able to snorkel at Turtle Town and though we couldn’t go to Molokini, the alternate destination was nice. Turtles, fish, and colorful reef could be seen. Whales could be seen almost the entire time from almost any direction you looked. The Calypso Crew was friendly and attentive. Highly recommend this trip.

5.00I highly recommend the Calypso snorkeling trip. The crew is very helpful and friendly. The boat is top notch with lots of room for seating. There are many ladders in back with double railings to make it easy to get in and out of the water. The hot breakfast and lunch were excellent. This is the best snorkeling charter I have been on in the world.

5.00Calypso is a perfect craft for snorkelling and enjoying yourself! The multiple ladders into the water mean you can get in and out easily with no queue. There is all round visibility meaning everyone had great places for viewing of whales en route to and from Molokini crater. The team were simply superb - helpful and kind, very alert to safety in and out of the water, fun to be with and very knowledgable. I had a marvellous day, thank you team!

5.00Great trip from the boat, food, crew and activities. The turtles were for sure the best part…. molokini was good, but not many fish as i expected. The trip was an amazing value…. Breakfast, lunch, snorkel gear, boat ride, so many whales in February, and two snorkel sites. Totally recommend
