Although we are the original whale-watching company in Juneau (operating since 1994), we are still small and family-owned and operated! We want you to feel like part of the family, and we pride ourselves on prioritizing local hires in order to give back to our community and give you the best possible tour experience. We want our guides to love Juneau as much as you do!
This tour offers an additional hour at the Mendenhall Glacier Recreation Area. This gives you an hour and forty-five minutes to two hours to look at salmon, visit the Visitor's Center, and make the hike to Nugget Falls!
Our fleet consists of only mammal-friendly jet boats, and the small size and intimate setting will make you feel right at home with the whales.
We pride ourselves on our quick transfers between vehicles! We don't want you to wait any longer than you absolutely have to!

What To Expect
Juneau
Drive through the city of Juneau on a guided bus ride.
Nugget Falls
Take an easy hike out to Nugget Falls to really immerse yourself in our rainforest! It takes most people about 45 minutes round trip, but if you are a slower hiker, or you want to stop and take pictures, this is the tour for you!

5.00Terrific tour. Picked up right near ship. Driver Charlie was really nice and made an extra stop to see tons of eagles in trees. Fun 2 mile round trip hike to waterfall with great views of the Glacier. Whale watching trip was excellent. Boat had comfy seats for everyone and not crowded. Captain who i think was Perry or Terry did a great job getting us to where the whales were. Naturalist Rio was awesome explaining everything. They even had hot chocolate, coffee and a snack bag. Absolutely well done tour by this company. Our twin 5 year old twins and 7 year old enjoyed it too.

5.00Amazing day! Memories for a lifetime time. Nia (keep her on the water!) and Capt. Jay did an outstanding job of finding the whales and keeping us of everything we were enjoying! Couldn't ask for a better day of Glacier and Whale watching experience, thanks to Blue Dolphin Jet Boat tours and their staff. Matt also did a good job transferring us safely throughout the day and sharing his knowledge along the way. We would not hesitate to book another excursion through them.

5.00This was a great combination tour. We saw the top two things in 1 excursion. We saw Humpback whales and orcas, eagles and seals. Afterwards, we hiked to Nugget falls at Mendenhall Glacier and got great photos and learned about the glacier in the visit center. Plenty of time for both parts. We did not feel rushed.

5.00friendly happy driver and boat team. The walk to Nugget Falls was very easy to travel. Saw several humpback whales, stellar seal lions and killer whales! Small group made it very nice
