A dress code is required to enter places of worship and selected museums. No shorts or sleeveless tops allowed. Knees and shoulders MUST be covered for both men and women.
It is FORBIDDEN to introduce inside Duomo food, liquids, knifes, ceramic mugs and everything that can be used as blunt weapon.
Kindly consider that after the elevator, there are around 75 stairs in order to reach the top of the Cathedral, and back down at the end of the tour
On hot days, we recommend wearing a hat, applying sunscreen, and bringing a bottle of water to stay protected and hydrated during the tour.

4.00Fantastic Guide, But Tour Company Needs Better Communication Our guided tour of the Milan Duomo was fantastic thanks to our guide, who was incredibly knowledgeable, engaging, and full of fascinating stories and historical details. The passion and insight they brought made the experience unforgettable. However, I do want to note an issue with the tour company’s communication. The requirement to have shoulders and knees covered to enter the church was only sent in a message about an hour before the tour, which most of us didn’t receive in time. This led to a delay at the start while everyone purchased coverings. This is important information that should be clearly stated at the time of booking to avoid last-minute problems. To be clear, this is no reflection on our amazing guide — they were exceptional. I hope the company improves communication so future guests can enjoy the tour without unnecessary delays.
