With a boutique atmosphere the Fiordland Jewel was designed specifically to take in the stunning scenery and offers comfortable lounges, seated dining, and full sea views from our main saloon or outdoor areas
Enjoy a chef-prepared lunch while onboard - all dietary requirements are catered for. Please advise us of your dietaries in advance for our chef's preparation. Complimentary tea & coffee is available.
Our knowledgeable crew will share stories and point out wildlife such as seals, penguins, and dolphins that we may encounter as we cruise the length of the fiord.
Check in at the Fiordland Discovery desk inside the Milford Sound main visitor terminal building at 12:00pm. Boarding the boat at 12:15pm for a 12:30pm departure from the wharf. Return to the wharf at 2:30pm.

Milford Sound
Milford Sound is a fiord in the southwest of New Zealand’s South Island. It’s known for towering Mitre Peak, plus rainforests and waterfalls like Stirling and Bowen falls, which plummet down its sheer sides. The fiord is home to fur seal colonies, penguins and dolphins.

5.00We cruised on a beautifully spacious boat with plenty of seating, plenty of places to view the spectacular scenery and a lovely friendly crew. Also, not unimportantly in the view of at least some of our number, the lunch was delicious with various dietary requirements well catered for. This was a once in a lifetime experience which I would absolutely love to repeat!

5.00We had a wonderful time on this lunch cruise! It felt semi-private compared to the cruises we saw around us that had viewing decks jam-packed with people. The captain was kind and informative. The food was delicious. I would highly recommend this experience!

5.00Great adventure on a vessel with a first rate crew. Meg and Morgan worked tirelessly to ensure that all the guests had an amazing voyage. Nish and Tiago produced gourmet meals under very difficult circumstances ie. the tiny galley, and Captain Francis was knowledgeable and confidence inspiring. Would certainly do it again at a 6 month distance to experience Fiordland in a different season.

5.00Magical. We are almost at the end of our NZ trip and we decided to end it with a bang (even though I am currently poor). We received a really warm welcome from the staff, the catamaran was warm and cozy, the hot drinks delicious and the food exceptional. We were very lucky as it was really chucking it down outside, giving us the best show of the dramatic waterfalls cascading down the fjords. I really didn't want to leave to be honest... it was well worth the money and so much fun. I would really really love to do an overnight experience one day! If you want to do a cruise in the Fjords then Go. With. This. Company!

5.00The lunch time cruise was a wonderful experience. Francis (the Captain) was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and his crew very helpful/capable and went out of their way to make trip enjoyable. Lunch prepared by onboard chef was delicious. Fully recommend the Fiordland Jewel with Fiordland Discovery if you are considering a cruise on Milford Sound.

5.00First it’s a FAMILY run business. The Sons generally captain the vessel which is in Survey of course and clean as a whistle with fantastic viewing in all areas with access to the bridge and captain. Staff line up to greet you walking on board, introduce themselves, and make you feel VERY welcome, Information and safety brief is excellant. Sit back, roam around, enjoy the views, foc coffee, and soak up all that Milford Sound has to offer. WOW! Did I mention the Chef prepared meals. Yummo! Spend the extra coin for this magical area of the planet with this Cruise company. You will NOT be disappointed.

5.00Incredible experience. So worth it. This is the most exclusive boujee Milford Sound cruise and that’s why I booked it. Stunning boat and only about 15 people on this tour. Captain Jack was amazing and so informative. Lunch was really yummy with dessert too! We were so lucky with the weather, sunshine and even got to see dolphins and seals and stand under the spray of a light misty waterfall. Magical! So worth the money to not be on what looks like crowded ferries with the other operators, plus getting an amazing lunch! Milford Sound is one of the most amazing places you’ll ever go. Get this experience to do it justice!
