Castle Valley is the poster child for western landscapes, and you’ve probably already seen it somewhere in a movie, TV show, or commercial. And if somehow you have, in fact, never laid eyes on Castle Valley before, you’re not going forget it once you do!
This serene section of the Colorado River moseys through a big beautiful red-rock canyon. As for the waters here along the Colorado River, it stays pretty warm from late spring to early fall.
You’ll spend most of your time floating, with a few Class II rapids to cool you off along the way. Expect plenty of fascinating interpretations and fun stories from your river guide on this mild trip!

Meet us at our Moab office! After you're checked in and fitted for a life jacket, we'll take a scenic shuttle out to the most dramatic section of Castle Valley along the Colorado River. After a quick safety orientation we'll hit the river, floating into the beautiful red rock canyon of Castle Valley. In between the friendly class II rapid sections, your guide will share stories about the area's rich history, how these geologic wonders formed, and probably some river lore and good old fashioned dad jokes. The afternoon section comes with more rapids between the flat water stretches, so feel free to paddle with your guide, or sit back and enjoy the splashes. After a couple hours on this serene stretch of the Colorado River, we'll take out and shuttle back to our office.

5.00Fun trip with Seth as our guide, very personable, capable and knowledgeable! Shout out to Dave the driver and his new TW200 purchase! Very windy making it harder than it should be but not the guides fault, also water is a bit low so not very many rapids.

5.00We did an afternoon raft trip with guides Seth and Nina and driver Dave. The guides were knowledgeable and entertaining. We had a very windy day with headwinds sometimes as strong as the current, so we had a lot of paddling to do. We had a wide range of passengers from 5 to 70 years old. The guides handled it well and we had a great time on a beautiful river. It was a reasonable price and was not crowded with groups were 5-8 per raft. Thank you to the Mild to wild team for a great trip

5.00I'm 68 years old, trying to hang onto my youth, I've white water raft in every class four and five river east of the Mississippi when I was much younger I just wanted to have a nice relaxing ride on the river. I went solo with a guide because other people backed out because of the weather it was absolutely wonderful time. I really appreciated the fact that they accommodated me and I did not have to rebook, Thank you.

5.00We rode a big bus up the canyon and heard lots of interesting things on the way of the canyon. The boat ride was fantastic and had a lot of fun even though the water level is low it’s still gives you a rush we got a good workout paddling and even got to see an American Eagle.

5.00The tour from start to finish was great! All of the guides and bus drivers were fun, informative, and patient! Our guide, Nina was so sweet! She knew a great deal about each area, and she made the trip a delight! Such a fun day!

5.00Darren was such a lovely guide! We had so much fun out on the river, including an impromptu water fight with the other boats. the views were spectacular and the rapids were so much fun! Darren informed us about the rock formations and local wildlife! i can’t wait to come back for a longer trip on the river!

5.00We went on a rafting tour with 9 people, the youngest being 6. Gavin was an outstanding guide, let several of the kids steer the boat, jump in, and pointed out lots of educational things for all of us. We all had a blast - highly recommend.

5.00This trip was amazing and icing on the top to end my vacation with rafting in Moeb..Galvin was my tour guide and he was amazing.. felt safe and had a blast.. a mydt .. so scenic and beautiful an fun!
