Beware!! Boys Choir Don't Perform June-August - found out the hard way

3.00Nice day trip from Barcelona. -BUT - disappointed to find out only as we boarded the bus ( which was at a different platform number than described on the confirmation ticket) that the boys choir is NOT PERFORMING that day or any day during the summer as they are always on holiday between mid June - end of August!!!. This was not advised on the description of the tour nor at time of booking!!! Many customers were caught out by this which made for an unhappy journey. You would think that if this happens at the same time every year then it should be factored in and the description of the tour and adjusted to cater for people booking during this timeframe. The guide offered entrance to the museum instead of the choir, but we booked with this experience being the highlight. If you are travelling in the summer just book a regular visit to the site with Basilica access other wise it's a waste of money.

But the tour operator did not tell us the choir won’t be available in July despite getting in touch with them several times before the tour It was a major disappointment for us as this is the only reason I join this tour over other choices and we travelled a long way. We were informed only after we arrived at Montserrat Would not have join this tour if we knew

1.00No coordination and poor communication lead to a tour that could not be accomplished. HM King Felipe was visiting Monserrat and us tourist paid for a tour we did not receive
