The English Lake District is one of the most recent additions to UNESCO’s World Heritage List. Admire the rolling countryside and craggy fells whilst listen to your guide about the Lake District's history, geology and the people that have shaped this much-loved region.
Along the way, you will pass some of the region’s most spectacular sights, such as the Borrowdale Valley, Buttermere, Honister pass, and Grasmere. There are many stops on route; a highlight is the Castlerigg Stone Circle with its panoramic views. Our friendly driver/guide will provide an on-board commentary on this full day spectacular tour of lakes and mountains.

Please note, the tour starts from Windermere Information Centre @ 9.25am. It is not possible to be collected from a different location once chosen. If you are not at the correct pick up location and miss the tour, we cannot offer alternative arrangements.
Due to a landslide, Kirkstone pass is currently unpassable. Therefore until further notice you will not visit Brotherswater or Ullswater on your tour. Our incredible driver guides will instead take you off the beaten track to a few other fabulous Lake District sites and lakes.

An amazing day with Steve!!

5.00We did this tour on Thursday 15th Jan with the lovely Steve. He picked us up exactly on time from our hotel and i knew as soon as we stepped on that bus we were in for a good day. Steve is highly knowledgeable on the local area, has great stories and is very funny and quick witted, we had great banter with him. I have never met anyone who loves their job as much as Steve, he is so proud of the Lake District and takes great pride in showing it off. The tour was amazing, I never realised how beautiful or vast the Lakes are. Lovely stop offs to grab drinks and Keswick for some lunch. I cannot recommend this enough, it was truly a magical day.

5.00What a totally fabulous day! A wonderful way to have an overview of the Lakes and go places where you wouldn’t have the courage to drive your car! All of this was enhanced by our driver, Steve, who regaled us with interesting facts, local stories and history and all interlaced with childhood memories and experiences in the Lakes! It was a full day, great value and comfortable transport. I would throughly recommend any of these tours to those visiting the Lakes!

5.00Experience Day, Dec. 23 It was a tour of 10 lakes. Unfortunately, compared to a cold, cloudy and sunny day, I'd say the view was halved, but my guide Tim's detailed and handy guide covered it more than enough. I'm not very good at English, but it was easy to understand. He seemed to be teaching himself Japanese and taught me the ropes of language study. It was a friendly and convenient guide, and I was able to get around efficiently. Thank you very much.

5.00My wife and I joined the 10 Lakes Spectacular and it truly was just that - Spectacular! We got lucky with a beautiful crispy cold winters day that just highlighted the incredible natural beauty of the Lake District. Mark H was the perfect driver guide with incredible knowledge of the Lake District, its history and prominent figures, he brought the tour to life. I would highly recommend Mountain Goat and we'll definitely use them again when we return.

5.00We just finished our tour with Tim and it was a most lovely experience. Tim has been a very funny, engaging, knowledgeable and caring tour guide for us and everyone else on the bus. Tim also went out of his way to take great pictures for us and even showed us a few hidden spots. The trip was very relaxing and educational, and we were lucky to have a punctual bunch with no traffic 🫡 Highly recommend for anyone!

5.00It was an amazing trip. Our guide, Tim, was very knowledgeable and kept us entertained throughout the whole tour. We were shown some of the most beautiful sights and Tim was very happy to take pictures and videos for everyone. He even prepared some ginger bread from a local store in advance as he knew it would be closed on that day. I cannot recommend this tour any more, this is 100% worth every penny and it was an unforgettable memory.
