The English Lake District is one of the most recent additions to UNESCO’s World Heritage List. Admire the rolling countryside and craggy fells whilst listen to your guide about the Lake District's history, geology and the people that have shaped this much-loved region.
Along the way, you will pass some of the region’s most spectacular sights, such as the Borrowdale Valley, Buttermere, Honister pass, and Grasmere. There are many stops on route; a highlight is the Castlerigg Stone Circle with its panoramic views. Our friendly driver/guide will provide an on-board commentary on this full day spectacular tour of lakes and mountains.

Please note, the tour starts from Windermere Information Centre @ 9.25am. It is not possible to be collected from a different location once chosen. If you are not at the correct pick up location and miss the tour, we cannot offer alternative arrangements.
Due to a landslide, Kirkstone pass is currently unpassable. Therefore until further notice you will not visit Brotherswater or Ullswater on your tour. Our incredible driver guides will instead take you off the beaten track to a few other fabulous Lake District sites and lakes.

5.00We have done this tour previously and have had the same driver - Tony - on each occasion. Tony is an excellent tour guide, very professional and you always find out something new each trip. This time we ended our trip around the far edge of Thirlmere as the road had previously been closed and now re- opened and the Whinlater Pass via Lorton. If you want to take in the Lake District the trip gives you an idea of where to visit and if you are usually the designated driver you can sit back and enjoy the scenery. There are several stops along the way for photographs and lunch - can highly recommend

5.00Really enjoyable trip. Lovely relaxing way to see the beautiful highlights of the area, stopping at places we would never have found on our own. Peter our driver/tour guide was very knowledgeable and we felt very safe as his passengers.

4.00We loved the tour, they take to beautiful places, our Guide and Driver Peter was very knowledgeable and gave a lot of information but we did not stop at a couple of locations which were very beautiful like Buttermere

5.00Peter took us to the 10 lake tour and it was such an excellent experience to go on tour with him, he is very knowledgeable and knows the Lake District in and out and he took us to all places with a smile and explained everything in great details and showed us all the beautiful places in Lake District. We both enjoyed it a lot, one of the most memorable tours we have had till date.

5.00The driver (Steve) managed to keep an interesting level of information flowing for almost 8 hours, which was impressive compared to any other tour guide we have come across. We were lucky with the weather, but even so, the selection sites were perfect for people who are new to the area. The journey was comfortable and relaxed all the way.

5.00The whole day was excellent, the bus was full of friendly couples and our driver Steve was excellent, has input of personal experiences helped bring the whole day to life, genuine passion for the area
