Come and see why Hokusai painted 36 different views of Mount Fuji! Join us on a private walking tour in the Yamanashi Five Lakes Area. The tallest mountain in Japan is surrounded by five lakes with beautiful natural scenery. Explore the shrines in the area and taste Houtou or Yoshida Udon, the local noodle dishes of the area. Pick up a bottle of Yamanashi wine or some fresh fruits to enjoy after your tour!
Once your reservation is made, a Government Licensed guide will be in touch to plan your personalized tour. Choose 3 to 4 spots that you wish to visit and your guide will plan a personalized itinerary. If you do not know where to visit, ask the guide to send you their recommended itinerary based on your interests. We hope to guide you soon!

Mt. Kachi Kachi Ropeway (カチカチロープウェイ) is located next to Lake Kawaguchiko, and it runs to the summit of Mt Tenjo. From the top, an amazing view of Mt Fuji, Lake Kawaguchiko and the surrounding area can be seen.
Chureito Pagoda
Chureito Pagoda (忠霊塔) is part of the Arakurayama Sengen Shrine in Fujiyoshida City, and the most popular photo spot of Mt Fuji. The famous view of Mt Fuji, the five storied red pagoda and cherry blossoms can be seen in early to mid April usually. In Cherry Blossom season, please be aware of long wait times to see Mount Fuji and the Pagoda. Recent years have required visitors to line up and wait upwards of an hour to see the view. Viewing time is about 3 to 5 minutes only.

5.00Four of us and I rented a minivan taxi. The sum cost of the tour plus the taxi was not cheap. The value is in a personal guide taking us the route we wanted to follow, by a personal driver that was beside where we visited and we stepped into/out of the taxi on schedule, no waiting, not crampt. Our guide was a great help and source of info. We arranged a seven hour tour and we went all over and avoided the really touristy points. Tour is worth the cost. Recommend you sort in your own mind where you want to go and don't be limited to anything predetermined. NOTE: We stayed two nights in Mishima and took the Mishima Liner bus to/from Kawaguchiko Station to start the tour. The locations around Kawaguchiko Lake are swamped with people.

5.00Very informative, interesting and exhaustive tour..our guide Mr. Yoshii Kenichi luckily accompanied us from tokyo to kawaguchiko and was very polite and friendly. He started with the history of japan and gradually built a story which made us familiar with the place. He showed us some amazing and spectacular places with natural beauty and charm associated with them. we enjoyed everything from the ice caves,wind caves to the laje views and the ropeways. He was very helpful in arranging and queuing for us to make thing simple and faster . I wish him all the v best in life

5.00We had a brilliant day exploring the Kawaguchiko area with the amazing May (Meiji) and a private driver. May was in touch prior to the day asking what we liked & with options and examples of some of the things we could do. It was very helpful & great to be able to chat in advance. On the day pick up was perfect and we headed out & saw everything we wanted to and more thanks to May’s expert guiding & knowledge. We saw Temples, Gardens, Lakes, Villages & the Ice Cave PLUS we had amazing views of Mt Fuji most of the day. We also hit an incredible lunch spot with amazing local speciality one pot ramen (sorry I can’t remember the name!). We got loads of pictures (& I should mention May is also an excellent photographer for family shots!) and lasting memories. At the end of the tour we were lucky enough to head up to May’s Cafe for some iced tea/coffee and one of the best views of Mt Fuji of the day. Another thing I should mention is that May plays the piano! I know this as he played Happy Birthday before surprising me with a slice of cake/candles (it was my 50th the week before). All in all an amazing day with a brilliant guide in May. Thank you for making it great for us and our teens (14 & 16 yrs old).

5.00We had the pleasure of spending the day with May, and we couldn’t have asked for a better guide. From the moment we met him, he made us feel welcome, informed, and completely at ease. May’s knowledge of the local culture, history, and hidden spots added real depth to our experience. Unfortunatilly mount Fuij was covered in clouds but thats the time of the year … Thank you, May, for your kindness, professionalism, and for making our trip so special. 5.00We had the most wonderful time with Meiji-San as our guide in the Mount Fuji region. May is such a great companion and took us to some wonderful spots for site seeing and a very nice local udon restaurant of the end of a perfect day. Among his qualities May is also a great photographer and a professional pianist! We highly recommend May as a travel guide. Thank you May!

5.00We had a fantastic tour of the Yamaguchiko / Fuji / 5 lakes area. The area is beautiful and spectacular. Our guide, May, was excellent (and also a wonderful photographer!) The time in the Oshino world heritage, 8 seas, area and the museum there with the traditional Japanese home, were highlights. We have so many amazing photos and memories of Fuji and Sakura! The meal of special local udon was delishious. We definitely recommend!

1.00Our tour guide had terrible time management skills, no apparent plan and insufficient knowledge of the transportation within the park. The initial cost of the tour( for two people) was $539.88 just for the “tour”. Our transportation round trip from Tokyo as well as the many cab rides within the park were an additional fee. Most of the day was “ hurry up and wait”. Lunch was at an “authentic” Japanese restaurant he found on his phone when we were in a cab looking for something to do. We only visited one lake in the “Five Lakes Tour” and it was disappointing. The water down and we walked around the lake for only a brief time as our guide was anxious to take us to a touristy coffee shop where we spent the last 90 minutes of the tour listening to his history of the Samurai. The highlight of the day was a clear, beautiful view of Mt. Fugi- for which we were most grateful.

5.00Our guide Yoshii san first and foremost spoke good English. We noted that he did some research before guiding us on this tour. He shared much info about Japan and the sites while waiting in the queue for certain attractions so that we are fully engaged. In fact he communicated with us ahead of the tour to ensure that he will meet with our expectations. And he certainly did and more. Thank you very much Yoshii san for an enjoyable day.
