Sri Chamundeshwari Temple

After exploring Srirangapatna, continue your journey to the majestic city of Mysore, and head to the revered Chamundeshwari Temple situated atop the Chamundi Hills, towering at a height of 1000 feet. This sacred temple is devoted to the powerful goddess Chamundeshwari, also known as Durga, and showcases magnificent statues of the Nandi Bull and Mahishashura the Demon. Great itinerary with excellent guide though somewhat overpriced for India. It is a 2 n half to 3 hour drive from Bangaluru. RAGHU the guide was full of information which he shared very well. Great to be with.

I booked this trip with my fiancée whilst on a brief trip to Bangalore for a friend's wedding (we are British). If you are Bangalore based then a lot of the day will be spent travelling by private transfer but definitely worth it and the transfer car is comfortable and well air conditioned. Once we got to Mysore there was excellent variety in the tour (palaces, temples, food, art galleries, markets, incense factory) all very interesting and superbly guided by Thomas (our tour guide). Would definitely recommend.

Oh my, Mysore! What an experience! The tour was fantastic, and my guide Raghu was just outstanding! Not only was he a wealth of knowledge, I think he also has a future as a stand-up comedian! He made the whole day so much fun - anyone who gets him as their guide is in for a treat. 😊
Mysuru Palace is worth the visit

I booked this tour as a single female traveler from Bangaluru to Mysuru. My driver Mr. Sajeevan was great. I felt safe through the tour. The morning drive was easy as there was little traffic early on a Saturday morning. The return trip; however, took 3 hours and 40 minutes due to traffic and there was no restroom break. It was okay for me, but I think people may need to know that ahead of time. Highlights - Mysuru/Mysore Palace is amazing and I was able to get some great photos of the palace. I also enjoyed the Devaraja Market and seeing all of the flower, fruit and vegetable vendors. The Sri Chamundeshwari Temple was nice to see from the exterior but we did not go in because there was a 2-3 hour wait to get in according to the guide. The lunch was a typical Indian buffet. Personally, I could have done without the stop at Jaganmohan Palace Art Gallery and Auditorium, but others may enjoy it. Note: Photography is not allowed. The Guide also took me to a store right near the lunch stop (Cauvery - a government owned store) that sells silks and other souvenirs. It felt like a pressured sales pitch to me. He was also going to take me to an essential oils store but I declined. Again, others may appreciate these stops but they were not on the itinerary and were not something I was interested in doing. Overall, I am glad I went. Seeing the palace was worth the long drive.

What a special and memorable experience! Ragu was our wonderful tour guide who was a dynamic storyteller and kept us engaged throughout! His jokes were funny and his perspective insightful. All of the sights were so interesting. Our favorite tour of our trip!!

We really enjoyed our tour through Mysore! Our guide Raghu was very friendly, accommodating, and informative. Our driver was also great. It was very nice to be able to enjoy our time there without having to worry about navigation or logistics. And we learned so much about each place! We’re very glad we booked this tour and would highly recommend it.

Had a great day exploring Mysore and Srirangapatna. Our guide (Mr. Raghu) was knowledgeable and our driver (Mr. Karuna) was reliable throughout the trip. Everything was well organized with the tour starting on time with our pickup at 7 AM and wrapping up smoothly back at our hotel on MG Road in Bangalore by 7 PM. Lunch was a nice inclusion and overall this is a recommended experience.

We loved the early morning low traffic easy drive to Mysore. Srirangapatna palace & fort history was explained well, followed by the Mysore palace which was beautiful, then the gorgeous Filomena church. We weren’t able to go inside as there was a service. Lunch was excellent and they helped by charging my phone! The only mishap was that it wasn’t clear to them that lunch was part of the tour and originally said I would have to pay. They immediately backtracked once I showed them the ticket & itinerary. We also went to the Chamundeshwari temple and silk/sandalwood shopping which was fun but pricey. And we concluded with a trip to the Mysore pak ‘store’- where we saw the cooking process.
